I like that ladder! Nice steps and the rotate function, WOW! Do you have a link?
eBay - It required two simple cuts of the top tubes to shorten and fit the Mav.

Pretty nice idea. At this point I'm still able to get one knee up on the tailgate and crawl in, but that looks like a future thing. BTW, what are the chances of taking the chopper for a spin ?

I had one for a while. It worked fine but was just too much trouble 95% of the time. It made the tailgate heavier for my wife and harder to load stuff. I ended up taking it off. A little folding step seems like it would be better.

I just tried using our 2 step in the gravel just for the Data. Works great and I was thinking I could add a couple of yard tool clips to the flex rails to clip it to. When the day comes I need to keep one in the truck.
Mine's a two step fold-up similar to the one step at Harbor Freight. Got it on Amazon.

I guess I’m the only one that has actually mounted a tailgate ladder in their Maverick. For a long time, I had been procrastinating on undergoing the first of two total hip replacements. Getting into my truck bed was a painful process. I chose the ladder as a permanent option to deal with my lack of range of motion. I find my ladder offers a solid footing and can be used either directly to the rear of the tailgate or to the side. When needing to slide cargo into the bed it is a simple matter of undoing one strap buckle and rotating the ladder out of the way. I am currently recovering from the first hip surgery. At times, when fatigued or on uneven ground, I’ll carry a cane. I can use it as a third point of contact if I feel unsteady using my ladder. I don’t regret the purchase or installation. I would do it again. Now, I’m waiting on my nerf bars!

There were multiple offerings on eBay when I purchased mine.

I keep a step inserted into the hitch receiver and it may keep creepers off of my bumper! It's plastic and light. Very stable and tight in the receiver. Easy enough to change to my ball mount kept in the back. And cheaper if they really want to steal my step! :cwl:

I use a wider version of one of those on my F250 front frame mount 2" hitch so I can crawl up into the engine compartment for any maintenance. It comes in real handy for reaching anywhere under the hood of a lifted vehicle.

As for the Maverick, I like the extended version for the Maverick 2" receiver for help getting into the bed over the tailgate mounted step. I also do the butt sit entry method too. The only issue is having to use my TKR'd left knee to eventually stand up. Cant stand placing any weight kneeling on the left knee cap area on hard surfaces without feeling the pain. But, a good set of gel filled carpenter knee pads solved that.😉
