Tailgate 'blackout' decal in a smoke tint?

Hello,
I am looking to get one of these blackout decals for my tailgate but I would like it to be in a transparent light smoke. I do not want a solid color. I already messaged every person on etsy etc. who is selling them but none of them do custom options. Does anyone here have an SVG for this, I'm willing to buy my own large format cutter for this at this point. OR if someone here sells these, I am looking to buy.

I used this on my 25 tailgate. Peeled it off soon after because I did a crappy install. Ordered another that I have yet to install now that a know the trick (soapy wet).

The sticker does not match the cutout of the 25 tailgate handle however. Just needs a slight trim. Learned that too

I’ve got a hot pepper red ‘24, I really don’t want to completely hide the paint but I like the look. I really want a light smoke transparent one. I think it would look really cool.

I am going to buy the aftermarket cover and put some tint or vinyl over the emblem. Going for an entire chrome delete.

I'm guessing you tried applying it dry.
Besides soapy spray.
Application gel works well too.
Allows you more working time and the ability to really move the decal around if you need.
DON'T GET THE BACKING PAPER WET.
If you can get somebody else to give you a hand briefly, it really helps on an decal that size.
Make sure the surface you're applying it to, is perfectly clean.

I had mine installed by a pro guy. YES - WET application - be careful, 2 people help for sure. I've also since blacked out the Ford Emblem on the tailgate (bo current pic). It's been for 2.5 years now.

We never had any smoked vinyl wrap. We had smoked PPF paint protection film that we would cut for headlights. Is that what you're thinking of?

Yeah I’m not sure what the material would be but that sounds like something that would work. I just need to find someone I could order that from.

The black oval kit would look good with this too with more of a "satin nickel" finish instead of chrome. It is pricey though, since it contains a new rear camera. It's OEM quality though...

Yeah, I've seen these, they look great but I can't justify the cost. I'll just end up getting those plastic covers and probably just put black vinyl over the ford text.

Ive been thinking of getting smoky rear lights and your window tint suggestion made me smack my forehead. Thanks, you saved me $$$ and, kinda, embarrassment.

I think I’m going to take a stab at doing it myself. I’m not 100% sure I will like the look, it’s not going to cost much to try myself.

What cutting program are you using on your plotter/cutter?

I’m going to try and actually just use some vinyl rolls and knife tape to make it. I wasn’t able to find a good vector file for this to cut myself anyway.
