SVT People?

My Maverick has recently shipped and I’d like to track the rail car and of course to do that I’ll need the rail car number.

From the sticky thread “Maverick Build & Tracking Links” it mentions that “You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.” Who are the SVT people? If my salesperson doesn’t respond in a timely manner, I’d like to know how try SVT. Who and whatever they may be.

SVT stands for Special Vehicle Team. They design the high performance vehicles at ford, i.e. Cobra Mustangs, Ford GT, high performance components, etc. I wouldn't think they would be a source, your dealer should provide that information.

That doesn’t fit the context. Maybe SVT is a typo, or maybe in context is is something besides Special Vehicle Team. Also, per Wikipedia, the Ford SVT was disbanded 8 years ago.

I agree the dealer should be able to provided the rail car info. But mine is not the most communicative. I am also curious.

The reason it doesn't fit the context is because that info is just a copy and paste from another thread on a different forum from a very long time ago. The admins here never update the info just copy and paste it over. Just like the palsapp info no longer relevant but the admins haven't updated it either.

Thanks, that does make sense. There is lots of good information on this forum but not everything is accurate. Prior to posting, I searched the forum for “SVT” and there wasn’t any other match. I was beginning to wonder if they had meant CSR.
