Hey all, we wound up getting a good bit of fun powder in my area and I went to play around to get an idea how the Maverick handles. Found out real quick that stability control does not turn off at all. I can turn off traction control though so that allowed me to get through a couple spots. I had an issue where stability control almost sent me into the ditch as I couldn't get the rear end to slide around enough to point me in the direction needed to prevent that from happening.

I've read the owners manual and I don't see how I can turn both the traction control and the stability management off. Would anyone know if it's possible to have both off?

AWD Maverick XLT with 4K. (Not a fx4)

I would do the transmission mode mod and add the extra mud ruts/sand snow modes.

If you use the sand snow modes it will disable some of the traction control and allow wheel spin. Also will send more power to the rest wheels.

Did that mod to mine. Works great in wet snow!

+1 for sand mode. It's pretty great in the snow.

I don't think anyone has determined a way to actually disable stability control, or if that's even possible. It may just be blended in with the drive mode and abs behavior.

My coupe lets me disable both. Talk about Mr. Toads Wild Ride 😜

Nice. My Subarus had a disable button, but it was just mostly disabled. Had to pull the ABS fuse to get it really turned off.

Has anyone pulled the fuse on whatever is relevant to stability control on the mav yet?
