Spotted another one at last

Made the monthly sojourn into town today to run errands and such. What should nudge in front of me into my lane but another hybrid Maverick. First time seeing one of any configuration here apart from my own.

Could not determine the trim as only eyeballed it from the rear, but did take note the owner had the innate good taste to also order it in Area 51.

For a moment, you could've been talking about me. But this Area 51 I saw today (my first fellow Area 51)was an AWD so definitely not a hybrid.

I changed lanes and pulled up next to him and honked. He saw and gave a thumbs up. Cool to finally see the same color. Only my 7th maverick I've seen other than my own.

His was an XL and his wheels were painted black instead of the stock gray but definitely the design of the stock wheels.

I have only seen 3 Mavs in my area since last year! One hybrid Area51 exactly like my order. The other 2 were ecoboost, one XL, the other an XLT.

It's kinda thrilling to see other folks driving a Mav too. Makes you feel reassured you made the right decision. One day we will be commonplace. When Ford can make 250,000 a year.

I seem em every few days for us here in Texas. We like our pickups.

I do get bummed when I pull up next to one and they don’t share my enthusiasm (or even acknowledge me)

The last two or three months I've seen probably three dozen Mavericks now going to Florida and a trip out west. Still cool to see.

I've seen 17 total. September was the month I saw the most. I've only seen 4 since then.

Ours actually LOOKS like a truck . And it's a Ford.

So we got that going for us.

And the EB 4WD with Tow is a pretty awesome little truck.
