Got my 23 XLT end of August. Drove entire time in eco mode. 2 weeks ago I discovered Sport mode. It feels like a completely different truck! I’m amazed by the performance and feel! Gas mileage goes down significantly but it’s a lot more fun to drive!!

I wish they would have put it on my Tremor. I like to get a little sporty now and again 😬

If you want to heat up your cabin fast in the winter for a short first trip out, put it in Sport mode . Otherwise it seems to take forever. My morning 3 mile coffee trip in normal, gets me 24-29 mpg and the air is still blowing not cold, but not warm when I arrive. On the return trip, I can get 33-40 mpg and the heater starts working about half way home.

If I put it in Sport mode, it heats ups a little over halfway thru my first trip, then I can go back to normal.

interesting observation. it must be due to keeping the engine at higher rpm.

In the OP's Hybrid, it disables the electric motors and only runs the InternalCombustionEngine, which is where the heat for the heater comes from in both the Hybrid & turbo models.
Heat is electric in the hybrid. You can heat up the car entirely in electric assuming HV charge, conditions, etc. The reasons I know it can heat up entirely in electric is getting in to warm it up for a few minutes and warmed the cab without the engine ever starting. And I've gone out many times to a toasty hot remote started truck with no ice on the windows, and an ice cold engine lol.

Do you remote start the truck in the morning so that it runs for 10 - 15 minutes to get warm?

Don't like Sport mode, all it does it hold RPM higher, which gets old quickly. Just press the accelerator further when you want to go...it downshifts and does the same thing.

I got my ‘23 2.0 in February and I have yet to change out of “normal” mode. I really need to try this sport mode out, as well as eco to see how much better my mileage can be, but also what the cost to its performance is, because normal feels good to me and I’m very happy with the mileage I get out of it.

I use sport most of the time in the city, only use normal when I forget and eco on long interstate drives. I could not care less about mpg. My only complaint is I wish I could manually select gear changes with a paddle on the steering column. I can see what is ahead and know what I am about to do… smarter than a chip, I am.

wow. 2 weeks in eco. you must have thought you bought a real sloth. i've only had it in eco for a few minutes. the throttle response is so disappointing. i'll consider it for long highway use though.
