Actually the point I was making the most seem to be missing is that the Maverick is not a sport performance truck if you want one of those they are available. Rangers Tacomas can all be configured to be much quicker, but not as economical and not as efficient

and yeah, I live in North Scottsdale and there are a lot of really fast vehicles here. Maverick does not get any glossy road love or streetCred. Electric Platinum Lightnings Rivian and the new Tesla CyberTruck and hummers are coming. And I am fine with it.
So you get a hummer with a CyberTruck? What will they think of next, Happy Ending vehicle Service visit?

I like trying all the modes. Hopefully I will learn forescan and be able to unlock all of them. Other posts have complained that the truck should retain the last used mode. At the time I did not think it was a big deal to just hit the button. My Crz had separate buttons for the various modes. When I got the Mav I found it is a pain to have to cycle through the various modes to get the one I want. I usually run eco mode and it's the last one.

Yeah I thought the same thing until we saw 2 of them being tested with full cladding in Death Valley near Badwater in June. A lot of companies MB Audi BMW take vehicles there in the intense heat and have been doing so for the last 50 years and it was surprising to see the Tesla there. The drivers would not share much but unless Elon further destroys his companies this year by flapping his pie hole they expect late 2023 for 5-10k First Edition models. Who knows ?

Ok thanks for all the replies. Wasn't expecting so many. Guess it is something to get used to. The biggest issue with SM to me is when coming up to a stop and the way it seems to hold the revs too high.
I've been experiencing a vibration at lower RPM's that others have had and is discussed in another thread. I believe it is not a mechanical problem, but a software one as it doesn't happen all the time. The programming for the shift points is terrible IMO. I'm taking it in to the dealer next month (it takes like 3 weeks to get an appointment now ) so I'm hoping either a reset or some update will cure the problem. I just didn't know if Sport mode was suppossed to behave this way or it was because of the software glitch.

I get the feeling that a lot of people here would not appreciate plaid mode on a Tesla. Under no circumstances is even the most tooled up Maverick eco-boost in any way of a fast or dangerous truck. It’s actually kind of a dog but a nice dog. You’re not going to win a greenlight challenge in any of the models, unless you have some compromised vehicles against you.
I'm sure many of the people in this thread would still complain about Plaid Tesla, having to place it in hyperdrive mode every time they get into it.

AZ has a lot of manufacturs here testing in the summer and Winter, it's not an uncommon sight to see European cars and American cars with "camo" wraps on them. But that Cyber Truck is just plain ugly.

Yep. Toyota has the coolest site in the west Valley. Off road rock climbing hills. My buddy got me on for a day. Amazing gearhead stuff now ruled by computer traction programming Jes sayin.

For me, a "happy ending" at a service visit is one where the vehicle is actually fixed! ;) (And even "happier" if the price tag is less than $200!)

Yeah, it looks like an F-17 "Nighthawk" and a Hummer had a baby... (Which got left on the front steps of the local Fire Department...)

I concur. Sport mode in EB AWD is monstrous. Too much power. Feels like the car just wanna run away from you. I don’t feel the car is ‘controlled’ in sport mode with EB compared to hybrid.
Only on this forum do people complain they get too much power from a sport mode lol you guys are unbelievable 😂
