Speculation on MY23's being built?

I ordered a Eco Boost XLT in AWD and the LUX package. The LUX package will be the big hold up. I'm expecting August to September 2023 as the soonest I will see it.

Anybody know how long it takes to build one of these once they start production. For example, if the start the build on 11/15 and you are first in line, when will it be completed and ready to be shipped?

My tricked out 2022 EB lariat went into production on 9/20 and the estimated delivery is 11/20. I'd assume our 2023s will be similar

Doesn't matter if you were first in line MANY factors will jump other orders ahead of yours. Production won't start for several weeks to a month, and Ford usually holds all finished new year production for at least a month in the lot before OK to ship goes out. Then a few more weeks. The soonest anyone will see is 3 months or more, but be prepared to wait a year if you have any constraint at all. So, 3-12 months sounds about right.

I ordered a EB Lariet Lux AWD Tow and off road package. I think Ford scared away a lot of people when they listed the constrained options. So I figured why not order the works and see what happens

Same here I added just about every option + the black appearance. Plus I think they'll build our EB sooner since they won't have such a backlog

Ordered XL Hybrid with spray in bed liner , tri fold cover , mats , Area 51 on 9/20 received Ford email and email with details from my dealer . got it at MSRP with a Fxxking fee of $995.00 on top of MSRP

Two reasons to ditch that spray in bed liner:
1. Constraint item
2. Factory is doing an extremely poor job, multiple reports of separation and peeling.

You can have a better job done local to you, probably cheaper too.

Well, I got quite the shock this morning.

I actually got an email from Ford concerning my order for a non-rollover 2023 XL Ecoboost AWD + 4K. If that wasn't a big enough shock, the email said that the order was previewed this week.

I told my salesman that I've been following the Mavericks closely since they were unveiled, and that I know theres a decent chance mine never gets built, but I'm also in no hurry. He said that's the best mindset to go into ordering right now .
With the 80% hybrid posts and allocations and constraints, I'm feeling more optimistic that my XLT AWD Ecoboost will actually be built.

But still assuming it wont be here until April or later.

Previewed? I am new at this... what does that mean?

Ford Corporate Scheduling will "preview" orders in the beginning of the week in preparation for actually scheduling them to be built (typically Thursday).

Although I'd be curious to see what the e-mail says verbatim because statuses like order priority and scheduling previewing usually aren't direct customer information.

ordered mine on 9/16 and got my confirmation same day. Hybrid XLT, Sunroof, hitch and sliding back window. I am thinking mid next year at best for delivery from Ford.
I think they have learned something from last year and that is why they limited the order window time frame. If they get all the parts, they will build all the orders they have taken plus some.
Working as a Ford Tier One Supplier for 20+ years I am pretty confident I will see my truck made.

Anything is possible. If I recall correctly, the intent was to start building '23s toward the end of October. If that is actually the schedule, they will have to start scheduling them soon.

Previewing is when Ford looks through the existing orders to pick out the ones they are going to schedule for production. Orders are scheduled about a month in advance of the factory actually building the vehicle.

Even though Ford is telling me my build was previewed, that doesn't mean it was selected. The dealership I ordered from has hundreds of orders to pick from.
