Something other than tie down channel kit in bed

Instead of using the channel tie down kit what are some better alternatives.i thought about just putting some eye hooks in each hole.

Cannot speak to whether or not over time they might deform the metal on the side of the bed.

I haven't had an opportunity to use them yet, but I installed these March 2022 shortly after I got my truck. This is the best picture I have of them. Got them on Amazon.

I used "D" rings from Amazon. They are black and blend into the SIBL.
