Have any of you used Rough Country or Real truck ? How do they compare for quality and service and what type of latch system to each of them use. Thanks for all input

I have a Rough Country tri fold soft cover. I’ve had it since April of 2023. It has been a great cover! I have a bit of leakage on the front wall of the bed in heavy rain (while driving). Can’t really complain at the price point I paid for the cover.

I bought my 2024. XLT pre-owned and it already had a soft cover installed. I’m not sure who made it but it has the Ford logo imprinted on the cover. I’m assuming it was dealer installed from Ford Accessories and probably not very expensive. It has been leak free for the 5 months that I’ve owned the truck and looks brand new. My only complaint is that it billows up some when driving. Otherwise it’s pretty good. In a few years I’ll probably replace it with a hard cover though. No need to make that investment just yet.

That cover is not cheap, I had it on my 22 XLT, I used my points and it had 20% off it was still over 400, it was good but hard to clean all the dirt out off the cracks in the vinyl. My new truck I bought a hard cover on Amazon for same price, got it overnight free shipping and its been 5 months no more flopping around on parkways and built like a tank not to mention no leaking. The only reason I bought that cover was the ford logo, back in 22 there weren't many choices, now everybody has Maverick covers.

I have had my Real Truck, LUND Genesis tri-fold, since early 2023.

Ford Maverick SOFT TRI FOLD COVERS 2022 MAV_with Plates SMALL

No real Water leaks, until I blast it with a hose, while washing.
I have more issue with the gaps around the tailgate, (a little water and dust).
Came pre-assembled. Took about ten minutes to install (I installed it twice, forgot to put location marks on the bed/cover to ease reattachment).

You are correct about the faux leather look cracks. Dirt magnet. But they do clean out and after each wash I apply The Chemical Guys VRP and it looks great. That Ford logo though is barely visible.
