Still markups out there ... YMMV on wait times for a new one, but at least you can still order.
Check if your dealer has allocations.

Still markups, but lower than they were last year.

Right now combined rollover orders plus new MY24 orders is about 50k, around half what they were last year. Ford is on track to clear out the whole order bank in 6 months so if you want to put in an order there's a good chance you'll get it before spring.

Same for me 6 weeks ago. Ordered a new one but 6 to 8 month wait. Last week I bought one off the lot for $1k over MSRP. Plan to turn it in when my new one gets in. Hopefully I can come close to breaking even. Ordered a hybrid but I'll have AWD for the winter. This was the only Maverick at a dealership for many miles and all the "for sale by owner " Mavericks out anywhere wanted a crazy markup for used vehicles. Here's a pic of the one I just bought and the salesman/ helper that got my bike in the back:
