This is my 2022 EB in Dec 2025 on I-95 in VA. Video shows the weather, photo shows the "Ice Bra" when I stopped for lunch.
It took 4 days for all of the ice to disappear. No problems noted.

Wow I'm glad I'm not the only one. It has to do something with airflow through the grill at speed.

I don't think the LED headlights produce enough heat to keep themselves clear, like the old halogens or the round sealed lenses did.
^ This exactly. The headlights do not make enough heat to naturally keep them clear. And Ford did not engineer a defrosting element in the lens cover, say like BMW has done before...

This also happened to me last December, after a four-hour drive in heavy snow and freezing rain (no photo). The coating may have been a little thinner than yours, but it took a few days for it to melt completely in my garage. Apart from the headlights, I was a little worried about the lack of airflow reaching the radiator, but the engine temperature remained at a normal level.

Took days to melt off? You could have just scraped it off
Oh I definitely didn't wait for it to melt. I carefully scraped it all off the moment we got back. I know now for future trips that this will happen.

Yes. I don't use my truck every day, so there was no rush to take it all out. Besides, I didn't want to risk breaking the plastic grille.
