I just turned over 8,000 miles and 1 year of owning my Maverick XLT. Hot Pepper Red. After getting refused at my local dealership to purchase a Bronco Sport because I didn't want the $6000 dollar dealer add on of custom rims and tires that I had no choice of picking I went to a dealership in Plainfield Illinois, Rod Baker Ford and found my baby. I took it for a test drive and made my decision. This was supposed to be their mannequin Maverick but I convinced them to let me buy it.
The spray in bed liner is from Linex and the dealer installed the bed cover before the snow flew in Illinois.
But back to my year in my Maverick.
I do have 2 complaints, one is of I go thru a car wash with undercarriage washing, my ac/heat vent fan control doesn't work quite right for a mile or two until it dries out and two my radio seems to lockup while driving with or withouta phone plugged in.
Other than those 2 issues, this has been a great little truck.
I average anywhere between 26 to 29 mpg and I only drive short trips around 50 to 70 miles. On 1 trip to Dallas Texas I averaged 29.4 mpg and I was running around 85 mph once I was out of Illinois 🤣.
The ride had been great. Very smooth at higher speeds but a little rough at low speed over train tracks.
I really haven't had any issues so far with my Maverick but I know if I do I'm taking it to Rod Baker and not my local dealership.

Whoa! Slow down there sparky. You keep putting those kinds of miles on it, and you'll be up to 100K in only 12 years. 🙃
