I always laugh when I see someone driving one of those monstrosities and it's pristine. If you need a big truck for work it makes sense especially if you can write off the cost against a business, but driving around 5 or 6 tons of metal makes no sense at all if you don't need it for a specific purpose.
My neighbor has a Chevy 3500 longbed with a 6" lift and says he needs it for work and off roading. It's the cleanest car in the neighborhood and sits there all day while he works from home...🤷‍♂️

We just sold our 2004 F150. It had a leveling kit and was right up there with those other trucks. It was too much truck. I don’t need a truck to show off and impress people- I just enjoy their utility and practicality. The Maverick does everything our F150 could and does it better (save towing) in almost every category. No regrets “downsizing” to a maverick.
Agreed!! Great truck, and honestly, if you are in need of doing more than 4K towing… the larger trucks make sense for sure…. A secure man buys and drives a Maverick!!! Lol… just like the saying “a real man wears pink” this is a compliment! Also, didn’t look/notice, did you get the 4K tow?

This was dealer inventory. No 4K tow. It’s cheap enough I’d add it on a custom order just to have. But, we don’t tow. The only thing I ever towed with our F150… was towing the Maverick home lol.

There is no doubt a place for super-duty trucks 2500,3500 etc but the reality is I bet 80% of their drivers never use them for what they are for.

Same… we have a cheap ass flatbed trailer for hauling stuff from local menards or basic crap, and we have a pop-up eagle camper, fully loaded it might hit 2k??? It’s those cute small square pop-ups with A/c unit on top, heater inside, and beds on each side… otherwise we don’t tow anything…

Well, those monster full size trucks will pay twice or more per tank than my new hybrid, and most can't even reach over in the bed to pick up a tool.
I was afraid I might look dumb in my mini maverick at the stop light next to the F250, 350’s. When it happens though and you notice they are not towing, hauling, and usually just one person inside, you realize it’s the other way around.

I'm not one to criticize for buying what you want, but what's the point? We once had a big mazda cx9 and it was horrible. It was huge, expensive, at a ton of gas and was a pain in the ass to drive. Boy it was great to see that thing gone.

Not to mention… cleaning them and caring for them takes so much energy, time, work, money!!

I like how when I’m in the drivers seat, it feels, and drives like a large vehicle (truck) but with the manners of a nice luxury suv/cuv and/or large sedan. Love the hood lines and how the Maverick floats on its suspension/wheels and the steering is firm and has perfect response (huge deal for me) love the steering!!

I think that Daddy GMC should be seriously asking Momma Tundra who’s the redhead with whom she was working last year.

I have so many people who don't understand what draws me to the Maverick... Forget about comparing it to early rangers and early pickups from 2000's and late 90s before the US market beefed up the pickups. I don't mind all the pics of the Maverick coming off so much smaller than the other full size pickups, I'm buying a smaller pickup because it suites my needs. The only thing size wise I would have wanted was a wider Maverick..... I like the styling don't get me wrong, I get making all the current pickups tie together. But I also would have not minded a different vintage nose with a wider overall body. Got this off a Reddit thread
