Simple B&O upgrade and sub solution.

OPs choice is not a better option. I went out and found the highest efficiency (103db) aftermarket 6x9" I could and it wasn't a meaningful improvement over the stock sub. What Ford put in there is actually extremely well suited to its purpose. You are better off adding a second compact sub to handle the lowest frequencies and leave the B&O sub active to blend into the stock speakers.

Thanks for the suggestion. Although I am not completely against adding a second sub I am trying to avoid using up any additional space. I do think the factory B&O system is pretty good for my situation it just needs a small touch more. That is what attracted me to this thread.

when you remove the factory 6x9 entirely you free up a lot of space that will fit a powered sub even as large as a kicker HS10. there are many threads here with pics of people doing that. (non-B&O trucks don't have the sub, so there's nothing to delete for them.)

this thread and any ideas for re-using the factory enclosure are a waste of time and money.

Let the judgement commence. Lol. The stock 6x9 is still there for now. I just wanted something small for a little extra bump. It works pretty okay with just the stock amp. I will be putting a small amp in soon.

Sorry if this has been posted already but has anybody done this for a 2025 or 2026? Looking to replace my B&O system

The B&O is well balanced and sounds great.
Plenty of base thump.

Of course if you want people in other vehicles to hear you thumping as you go by you need to go on and ghetto your Mavrick.

The home boyz in east LA would loosen the chrome bits on the outside of the car so they would visibly rattle and vibrate to the base thump.

In the movie, ‘ Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man’
Harley had his air breather cover lose to where it would, ‘Shake, Rattle and roll’

That was C. A. F.

I did that on my 1200 Roadster when I did the staged one tune.

I'm not a fan of the sound quality so just looking to upgrade, not looking to "ghetto" my truck or loosen chrome bits
