Recently my hybrid with 46000 miles began having some bad behaviors - while decelerating/braking will randomly feel like it’s surging or slipping forward - it does not feel like a braking issue but more of a feeling that the cvt is doing it as it seems to be happening at shifting points/speeds
Contemporaneous to when the slip/surge began my hybrid began having a shudder that vibrates the entire truck and sounds like going over rumble strips - this happens at around 27 mph or while shifting when cold - and happens only randomly.
today I was able to video it happening and have uploaded it - 15 second video happens near the end
Am I right to think that there is a PCM fix for this? Is anyone else experiencing both these issues - it is not a grabby brake or surge when stopped or in park problem.
I did speak with my local ford dealer and briefly related the symptoms- he stated he was unaware of any issues around this problem. Vehicle is still under a Ford factory warranty so I’m not worried as far as that goes. The truck is also waiting on parts for the heat exchange problem/fix
View with sound on - the truck does vibrate but it’s difficult to see in the video but if you listen you will be able to tell
