Absolute classic scumbag dealer moves:
- ADMs
- Worthless add ons
- Captive finance BS

If they won’t budge on this:
- Walk away and order a 2023 from Granger in August
- Send a hard copy showing ADMs to Mark Levine at Ford
- Identify the dealer here so we can protect other members from being scammed (write a bad google review as well)
Did you actually look at the 2 documents he produced? There is no $5300 ADM, most of that is sales tax, tags, small doc fee, and $999 of aftermarket items whatever they are.. there is a ~$2k ADM not $5300. What was the original sales agreement and contract?

I’m confused, I see a total msrp of $23705 and a sale price of $26,000. That’s $2295 ADM.. what are the $999 aftermarket products?

What was the sales price you agreed to when ordering?

Edit. I did the math, OP, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about or what you’re doing. You consider things like required state sales tax, tags, a small doc prep fee etc. as “ dealer mark up” and complain about it here? LOL

And you complain that Ford said it was $20k, but you added over $2k of options. Do you expect to get any and all options fee? LOLLL

And yes, if you have ever purchased a car before you paid state sales tax, tags, and likely some doc fees...

Please stick with your Toyota...

.
I also like how he goes on to say, "I don't need their truck." Well then don't buy it! Go haul a load of mulch home from the garden center in your corolla.

Note that granger may also be doing some finance tricks from a review we found.(be informed as you go in, know what’s you are pre qualified for. Don’t accept any add ons that their finance team will try to throw your way)

Note that granger still has not fulfilled their broncos, so we don’t know how long it will take for them to clear the mav backlog. It could be years.

I’d like to see some good progress made on them delivering the mavs(which we should see by 2023) before I recommend them.
The main point was “walk away”….

Granger was great to deal with. They are still a car dealership though! Reading that linked thread about the guy that Granger setup financing for read a lot more like someone that hasn't bought a car before than a car dealer being unscrupulous. Did they look for financing that was favorable to them as a dealer? Sure. Was the rate ridiculous? No. If the buyer walked in and said I'll be using Ford's credit for my purchase would it have gone differently? Absolutely. I said that before I drove down - they said no problem.

Corolla is quite capable for mulch

Ford said this truck was under 20K...I understand people need to make a profit, and they don't like it when I want to use my own Credit Union, but Toyota didn't do this.

That $5385.35 markup is after the $1495 destination fee.

My Toyota Corolla has adaptive cruise control, and power mirrors, and a regular gear shifter and I only paid $21,485 for it

I don't need their truck, my car is a 2020 model. I don't need their financing either. I've been approved for months waiting on them, I could have handed them a bag of money today, they didn't want it. They sent 4 guys to try to convince me to finance with them.

I love fighting the man, but can I win this one?
No reason to fight, move on!

FIGHT for your price....pretend to give in and finance with them ONLY if they'll bring that price down at least 2k....move the loan in 6 mths. Deal done.
They gamble on people never moving the loan....it's a simple process.
And for heaven's sake don't buy the warranty crap from them....you have 36mths to buy it direct from FMC>
If they were offering a discount as an incentive to use their financing and refused to honor the discount if I use my own fine. They are exporting me to use their financing by jacking up the price. They have every right to do that and I can walk if I don't like it which I will.

Fine if I don't know what I'm talking about...You feel free to buy this base model for 29K it's available right now. I hear they are hard to find

Walk away, Ford said this week they would be punishing dealers for marking up MSRP by diminishing their future inventory. To be honest the truck isnt work $5k more than MSRP, its cheaply made in the first place. Dont pay $35-40k for this truck, you can get a better quality truck once you get near 40k. At best pay $2k more if you walk in off the streets in this market and really love it.

Can they not get you a decent finance rate? My dealer got me Ford’s promotional financing without any hassle.
From my experience, bringing in your own financing or paying cash ruins the deal.
Finance through the dealer then refinance it through your little credit union if it truly saves you that much per month (assuming the dealer will sell it at msrp this way).

Either way, I do believe Ford doesn’t like it when a dealer will not honor msrp for customer orders. Maybe make some calls if they won’t honor a previously agreed upon price (so long as you are willing to finance with the desler).

ADM's today are going to look cheap after the 7 interest rate hikes the FED does this year.

Remember the Dollar is but toilet paper printed into infinity.
I disagree. The rate hikes will lower the price of the maverick and do away with any adm. Lessen the number of people who can “afford” it, prices go down

Don’t wait six months, the dealer would get their kickback by then. I would stop at my credit union on the way home from buying the truck and get the ball rolling.
