2022 Maverick Hybrid, XLT, Cactus Gray, Lux Package. Ordered 7/22/21

Extended the lease on my 2019 Tacoma on March 15th for three months. Now being charged a monthly rental fee and payments don't count against the principal loan amount.

Chances are I won't receive my truck by June 15th when my lease extension expires. On the fence on whether I should cancel.

So frustrating!

why not just buy out your lease? Chances are very likely that the lease buyout is way less than market value. Then just trade it or sell it to Carvana when your mav does come in......

Why don't you ask the dealer if they have a loaner you can have for some monthly payment amount while waiting for your truck to be delivered? If they are reputable they should be able to work out a short term arrangement that benefits both you and them.

Ya the whole buy your Tacoma thing. I'm guessing we are missing something.

I don’t see any advantage to you in canceling. It only gives the dealer another stock vehicle to markup.

Let it stay in your name and decide what you want to do when it hits the lot.

Maverick is a magical vehicle. Walk, run, out internet commute but keep it.

yeah, OP also lists having a 2016 Escape on his profile. Doesn't seem like a desperate enough situation to cancel Mav order instead of riding it out.

Buy your lease vehicle. Set payments at the lowest you can go then sell it or use it in your trade. That's what I did and doing.
