Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

Hello. I am 67. My 2023 XLT is the first (and likely the last) new vehicle I have ever owned. It took 18 months to get it mast April. It was the second one I ordered after Ford cancelled the order for my '22, but so far it has been worth the wait. I wanted the XL, but had to pay the extra $5K to get cruise control. I sprang for the CoPilot360 which I like very much. My Maverick is white and has an NC Tribal tag that says UU, which is Cherokee for Goose.

My only complaints are the intermittent Bluetooth connection, the backup display gets dark after a day and that stupid so-called key (the middle finger to the owners). There is also that "You truck may burst into flames" recall which they don't know how to fix, so my first add-on was a fire extinguisher.

I'm 69, traded my 2008 Corvette and 2012 Hyundai Elantra for my 2023 XLT Area 51. Don't worry, I still have a 1014 Vette as well as a project motorcycle! (xs560 chopper)

I'm 70 and got my '23 XLT in Alta Blue 3 months ago and love it, especially the average 39 mpg. Oh, I also have a 1930 Ford Model A streetrod.

i am 67. Ordered my 22 Area 51 Hybrid XLT Sept 21, received December 1, 2023. Never looked back! Fun is the name, enjoy the looks, the comments from people, and really enjoy the ride and the drive. My beach truck!

I’m 71. My Maverick is a 22 Lariat AWD lux package, copilot 360, Cactus Gray. Currently 24K miles.

Had to think about my age and it's 48.5. I arrive at that by taking the age of my body, which is 67 and the age of my brain, which is 30 and averaging them. Like many of you I still have other toys: 1960 Austin Healey, 1973 GT6, 2008 BMW R1200 RT, 2024 Kawasaki KLX 300, 2006 Polaris 330 ATV and of course my 2022 Maverick EB, AWD, Tow XLT. Glad to make everyone's acquaintance.

70 here as of August. 2023 XLT Lux CP360 hybrid Area 51. Waited 18 months to get this wonderful little truck. Picked it up May 3rd. So far no real issues. Have almost 10k on it. Went on a 6510 mile road trip. Love the mpg also how it runs on the highway.

Ordered it on 9/20/22 and picked it up on 7/21.

I'm a bit more interested in the time machine that enabled him to pick his up over a year before he ordered. Could make a mint off that thing.

Not a senior yet but getting there as fast as I can (62). I used to have lots of toys, then I married a 35 yo toy and couldn't afford to keep the others any longer.

Hi everyone! I just turned 74 on Friday the 13th and my husband is 71. We traded in both our vehicles (a 2018 F-150 and a 2019 Eco-sport) in June of 2022 when we picked up our brand new 2022 Maverick Lariat 4X4 Eco-Boost. We ordered the gas version instead of the Hybrid because at that time, the hybrid didn't come with all-wheel drive and we live in New England, so it's handy for the snow & ice. We haven't regretted the decision, not even once. Both of us love the truck, it drives like a car and yet there's plenty of room in the bed and also under the back seats. After having it well over a year now, we finally hit 5000 miles last month! LOL I too wish it had come out maybe 20 years ago, but better late than never!

63 , Just reached 6000 Miles , 23 Hybrid , XLT, Pepper Red. Took it to Maine, and New York
Did Great in the Mountains. Love the Ride, and heated seats.

It would appear that a goodly number of Maverick owners are OG! ........ And by OG I mean, OLD GEEZERS!

Only two options in life are grow old or die young. Kind of nice looking back down the road I wouldn't have traveled had I opted for the latter.

I am 70, fully retired and the Mav is my first and will probably be my last truck. I love my Mav and have accesorized it to the max.
