Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else has this problem, the truck is only 3 months old and the stitching on the drivers seat is all frayed I was wondering if it is just me or if anyone else has had this problem. Also wondering if this is a warranty issue
Thanks, Len

I have not. Sorry to see that though. Do you wear a belt or have something attached to your belt that rubs that area?

I wear a belt but my t shirt always covers it, not saying that I don’t hit it when getting into the truck but only have about 3,000 miles it just seems strange to be frayed like that after only owning it for a couple of months

Thanks for the photo.
Boy it sure looks like something is rubbing on there.
My 25’ looks like new.

Are you experiencing that same amount of wear on the other side of the seat? Is it also on the passenger side as well? I'm wondering if it's something you're doing or if it's a fault from the factory.

https://www.ford.com/support/owner-manuals-details/maverick/2026

The warranty policy doesn't state anything about seat wear. You can check Printing 6,
Pg. 16-21.

Unless you got an extended warranty that covers cosmetic damage you might need to look into getting some nice seat covers.

Thanks for the link. This is what I found on page 18
(The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover surface rust,

deterioration and damage of paint, trim, upholstery, and other

appearance items that result from use and/or exposure to the

elements. You, as the owner, are responsible for these items.

Some examples are:

dings, dents

cuts, burns, punctures or tears) I don’t know maybe I’ll go and talk to the Ford dealership and see what they say it never hurts to ask

Obviously the Milage shouldn't affect that, it's how many times you get in & out of the car. If most of your driving is short trips that entails going in & out of the truck, then i suggest buying a seat cover.

Our mav is almost 4 years old and the stitching still looks new. Something wrong here. Dont mean to be rude but is the driver a large individual? Maybe excessive rubbing when getting in and out.
