This is about as subjective as what looks better; Lariat or XLT seats.

The Larait “seems” softer but the cushion feel is the exact same. To me at least.
Cushion feel no where near the same. Density of foam unknown - But ok let's keep playing armchair QB - I have sat in - driven & inspected 3 Mavericks of different trim levels - My level of assessment may be more than the average Joe -

Hopefully whatever trim each of us bought we are happy with the seats. I am waiting on my Lariat to ship now. I happen to like the dessert brown and navy seats. I have sat in one and it was very comfortable and looked great. I can tell they are easy to keep clean and I like that. Arguing over all this makes little sense in my opinion. Get what you like and it will be just fine. Nuff said!

Ok.

If it’s a dick measuring contest you probably won’t win here but you go ahead and feel big.

Well you know what the shrinks say about big trucks and flashy cars, it is to compensate in other "areas" so with that said I think we are all ahead of the game with our little trucklets no matter what seat we sit our butts in. Lol

I'll gladly trade my XL seats (when it comes in) + $1000 for Lariat seats if someone is unhappy with the color or feel.

I'm waiting for a Lariat too. My wife and I had a chance to sit in an XLT and really liked the cloth seats in both front and back. There's no bad choice.

I'm jumping into the leather vs vinyl topic. I think they're different, but which is better probably depends on what you like and what you're looking for. Like someone posted earlier, the new vinyl is nothing like the plastic seats of days gone by. Like another person said, Mercedes vinyl seats seem more like leather than their actual leather ones. I've been through a lot of cars in my 64 years and I'm biased toward leather. I expect it to have a leather smell and leather feel. But I've been sitting in a variety of modern cars and the experience is getting blurred. I think we're almost to the place where you won't know if a seat is synthetic or animal skin unless you see it on a window sticker. One thing - I don't like marketing that seeks to confuse customers, like the description pleather. Mercedes has MB-Tex, Ford has ActiveX, and there are lots of others - Marine Grade Vinyl (MGV), leatherette. Leather seats used to "breath" and be more comfortable than synthetic, but now their all perforated or textured so it doesn't matter any more. I'm surprising myself at being pleased by synthetic seat coverings.

I would like someone to tip over a cupcake with TONS of frosting on the cloth seats and let it sit overnight, then report back if it leaves a stain or not that is removable. Thanks ! lol -

Aside from colour, has anyone sat in the XL and standard XLT seats - can you confirm they're the same? They appear to be in photos, both are manual adjustment etc. Thanks!
