Sealing Tonneau Cover

Has anyone tried sealing the gaps at the weather strip towards the cab & at the plastic rail on the bed? I have a hard rollup cover which let's in quite a bit of water and just now siliconed the gaps.

What tonneau cover do you have? I have a Truxedo Sentry hard roll up tonneau cover & even in a high pressure car wash it let's in very little water.

Just installed a Truxedo pro 15 tonneau yesterday and raining today. Am curious about how much water will seep in. Plan to check later today or tomorrow. When installing I did notice some gaps in the truck bed plastics that you noted that might let water in. Thought the seals on the cover looked like they would do a good job of sealing.

The cover is a hard rollup that came with the truck.

I thought I had done a good job of running the bulkhead seal, but I must have stretched it a little tight. After going through a carwash there was a very small water track at both corners.

The first time I had to remove the cover I noticed the bulkhead seal had pulled back from the corners about 1/3". I filled the gaps with the same black silicon I used to fill the gaps in the rail caps.

No more leaks.

Saw a video a few months back, about this exact topic (Maverick/bed cover) and the gent in the video used Permatex Ultra Black product in the gap!!
