Saw this on Facebook. Someone posted that they ran 15.35 in a 25 AWD Hybrid. The HF55 has made a huge difference, even with the AWD weight penalty over the 22-24 hybrids.

Motorweek also ran a 15.3@88 mph and 0-60 in 6.7 seconds IIRC I started a Thread about it on Here.

I have a hybrid, but recognize that some people want more speed (5.8 sec 0-60 & 14.5 sec 1/4 mile at 95 mph is quite a bit faster), or if someone hauls/carries a lot then the additional power can definitely be beneficial. As they say, options are good.
I think this was the Car Driver test I mentioned above?

Yep Motorweek 2022 Test 14.8@93 mph and 6.2 0-60 although IIRC Car Driver was a 14.5 1/4 milke and 5.9 0-60.
I can verify, my 22 ran 14.6 @93 at the track, looking forward to a tune after warranty runs out in a couple years.

Nice 1/4 mile time I see Your Maverick is FWD not AWD did You have any tire spin on that run?

Ford knocked it out of the park with the AWD hybrid. Really no reason to get the Ecoboost anymore.
Unless you don't mind getting stranded in the middle of nowhere. I bet everyone of you hybid owners have that gnawing in the back of your heads every time you get in the truck....is this gonna be the day it happens? I would.

This is the first I've ever heard of the hybrids (of any kind) stranding people out in the middle of nowhere. I've been driving hybrids for 15 years, and not once have I ever been stranded, as a matter of fact, they have been proven to be more reliable in both my experience and statistically.
I'm curious though.... What is it that we are supposed to be worrying about exactly ?

Only a little, the track was pretty sticky, on the street I get a lot more spin from a stop.

I've said it before, but as quick as the 25 Maverick hybrids AWD's are now, I don't know why anyone would buy the 2.0L, unless you had to have a Lobo or Tremor, or maybe you wanted something you could really hop up.
Ecoboost AWD is $3K $2100 cheaper than the Hybrid AWD. If you don't drive a lot of miles, the Ecoboost is a better choice based on purchase price. Worse case scenario, Ecoboost at 20mpg and hybrid at 40mpg and gas at $3 a gallon. It would take 40K 30K miles to make up the $3K $2100 cost difference. That would be city driving. If you're driving more highway, the mpgs of the Ecoboost would be a lot higher and the mpgs of the hybrid would be lower making it take even more miles before the hybrid pays for itself.

Edited to fix my error in the pricing of the 2025s.

I've never thought about this. I'd be more worried about the 8F35 transmission blowing up.

When I bought mine, the hybrids were cheaper than the EB. Ford keeps changing it around. First the hybrid was less for two years, then they were the same, then the EB was less. It's gone back and forth several times. I'd still take the fuel milage and drivetrain reliability of the hybrid any day.

We are talking about the AWD. AWD wasn't offered in the hybrid until 2025. Your signature shows you have a 2025 AWD so if that is the one you're talking about then no, your hybrid was not cheaper than an equivalent Ecoboost. When was the AWD hybrid ever cheaper than the AWD EcoBoost. It wasn't. Like I said, the AWD hybrid, which wasn't available until 2025, is $3K more than the AWD EcoBoost.

So I need to look up a thread about a rare problem that very few people had, and then I'll need to be afraid that it will happen to me ???
