Yes, I have a reply from Rostra with the instructions how to install switch instead of stalk. They still have not verified that their cruise will work with Hybrid but will be in next few weeks.

Does any body know if the Rostra Dash Mount Cruise Control Switch Part # 250-3592 will work with the Rostra Cruise Control. I wanted to mount this instead of doing the cheesy stalk that comes with the kit. I was thing of the void area to the right of the steering wheel just left of the radio screen.

If you have long arms, you could mount the dash mount switch in the radio cubby..(assuming it fits)

My truck got delivered on a trailer from the dealer and I put my new wheels on before I would even drive it.

I am not a Mav owner but I thought it might be valuable to others: I successfully added factory cruise control to my Suzuki kizashi by purchasing the steering wheel from a higher trim model and swapping it. Everything "just worked". There was no info on the internet about this but I figured that it was worth it to get the leather wrap even if the CC didn't work. The Mav is too new for these wheels to exist at junkyards but perhaps someone can give this a go once the car has aged a bit. I looked up interior photos and the wheels do appear to be the same shape but with different buttons.

Yesterday I installed Rostra cruise control. I actually had my 13 year old do 90% of it as he fits better. Let me start out by saying thanks to Rostra for making the kit as its the only option. The kit is very easy to install and take about 90 minutes. I pulled the pins out of the plugs so I could use heat shrink, I did not like the idea of just putting tape over bare wires. Rostra needs to make T harness for the ignition and OBD2 plug to make it a more complete kit. Everything works good and I now have working CC on my truck. The Rostra CC switch is not as good as the factory Ford switch and I will switch over to oem CC at a later time if it becomes an option.

I have what appears to be the same cruise control on my 2005 scion xb that I purchased new and had dealer add. It has worked fine and we still own the car. On mine the light is hard to see if on or off in daylight....maybe improved since 2005 but has otherwise worked reliably

Definitely worth the $ for the upgrade. I just couldn't get past the color combo of the interiors un the XLT 's. I had to step down to XL and add wheels and cruise.

I realize such is a matter of personal taste. But I don't actually need Ford to color the door handles and dash vents orange so I can find them / deduce their purpose and figure out how to use them. And those white (excuse me, stone) inserts in the seat and dash are just waiting to get nasty dirty. And the orange seat stitching. Jeez. Is this a truck or ????

So XL for me also. I kinda like the look of the steelies on the carbonized gray and silver truck. But if I change my mind I can purchase nice looking mag wheels in a lot of different ways and places. My dealer says they have a "sister shop" that will install heated seats and aftermarket cruise. If I had to I'd just man up and do it myself. Or try to talk my regular mechanic into it. But I don't want to climb into my vehicle every day for the next 10 years and wish the interior didn't have orange accents and unpainted dash panels.

I ordered my XL hybrid in September so I'm not expecting it till March. Maybe I'll get lucky and Ford will give up and offer a dealer installed cruise kit by then. If not the Rostra cruise will be just fine.
