Hi,has anyone put a roof rack on the bed rails of their Mavericks?

There are lots of different bed rack set ups you can buy for the Mav. Some clamp on, some use T-rails. For starters, check out Elevate Racks, Yakima, or Thule. For something more beefy, Xtrusion Overland or Tuwa Pro are decent options.

Just keep in mind, it will limit your options for tonneaus.

I should have mention that I do have a tonneau and want to keep,also I have a Rhino Rack that I will try and put on but it will be a challenge.This is an image of the under side rail plastic that will need some spacers and rivet nuts to hold it on because of the tonneau cover,lol

Are trying to mount the rack onto the plastic bed rail, or am I misunderstanding you?

while my truck still hasn't been scheduled for production, I've already ordered the synetic retractable tonneau with rails as well as the synetic rack.
originally, I'd ordered my truck with the hard trifold cover, but was finding a somewhat limited options for a rack that was compatible (while there are a couple, I ended up getting the synetic cover & rack for about what the factory tonneau & compatible rack would have run.
as soon as I get my build confirmation, I'll be pulling hte trigger on my RTT and 270 awning

What I did with the plastic trim piece was to remove all of those plastic tabs from the underside and fill the cavity with some PVC trim from the home center. But I have the woodworking tools to thickness and shape the PVC so that won't work for everyone. But lots of people have just put T track on top of the plastic trim and not had any issues. The way the rack I used mounts it squished those tabs long before I got to the right torque.

No,through the plastic cap and into the metal truck rail with Rivet Nuts because of the tonneau cover I have no access to bolt it down so will be using Rivet Nuts,hopefully lol.

Thanks for the info,I bought a Bison Trifold Tonneau for $769 Cad in Calgary alberta and I like it way better than a Backflip one and half the price installed.This is why it's going to be difficult to get my Rhino Rack on because I have no access to tighten it down because of the tonneau cover unless I use Rivets Nuts and then spacers so I dont squish the plastic cap.

In 2023 I tried the BAK Revolver X4s (hard roll-up tonneau) on top of Truxedo T-slot rails and had fitment problems caused by stacking them. Eventually BAK came out with the X4ts version (integrated T-slots) that solved my problem. It's pricey but works about as well as an aftermarket product reasonably can. The lateral spacing of the T-slots is different, with the X4ts being slightly more narrow, and allows the full slot to reach all the way to the front (a good thing in my application).

I also have the Synetic MR Pro cover, and am looking for a bed rack as well. I'm leaning toward just getting the Synetic bed rack to ensure compatibility. I can say that I'm very happy with the cover, as it's the best of all worlds, hard to break into, and doesn't take up much bed space, and allows access with a lower bed rack. This truck will serve some time as an overland vehicle so access to the bed is important to me.

I also bought a Bison Trifold tonneau, which I quite like, especially for the price (<$700 Cdn). Do you have any photos of your installed bed rack? I’m looking for options that are compatible with the Bison Trifold. Thanks from Victoria, BC.
