I know the EB Mav is direct injected, I don't know if the Hybrid is FI or DI, but if it is DI, then injector cleaner doesn't do anything. To be honest, people still put HEET in fuel tanks so they don't freeze when it gets cold out. Modern gasoline stations have electronic computers that won't allow pumps to work if water is detected in the fuel. Plus, most people don't realize that Ethanol is literally an alcohol product that displaces water.

Interesting that the Chevy hybrids did call for premium. Wonder why theirs did?
Maybe higher compression engines in those Chevy HEV’s?
The recommendation for the Volt to use premium had to do with the idea that the fuel was more stable over time. In other words, since you likely had fuel that sat in the tank for a long time, it would remain in better condition. My 2012 Volt system also required the tank to be depressurized so there was always a delay when you opened the gas door. I find my Maverick takes much less time to depressurize which is nice.
