Rok Blokz hardware rusting. Did I do something wrong?

I still haven’t heard back from them. I’d probably get my own hardware but they threads are unique and I’m haven’t found anything close in stainless

They actually just responded maybe when I wrote a negative review on the page for them they decided to respond. Not sure which option to take the percentage would buy good hardware but whether or not I can find their size in good hardware is another question. "Hello!

Update I emailed back with refund option and asked for sizes I'll let everyone know if they actually issue refund and or give sizes

They did issue a refund they say the screws are #8 1.25” Flat Top Screws

Well your getting closer to knowing what you need to replace the screws. Now only the thread pitch remains a mystery. 8-24 or 8-32.

Mine only appear to be the ones screwing into the red plastic pieces so they make their own threads in those plastic inserts. The ones that screw into the threaded body work directly don't seem to rust.

Appreciate you keeping us updated. Since I just got my truck a couple of days ago I haven't had time to install the mudflaps yet. I may contact them preemptively about sending me replacement screws....

UPDATE: I did end up contacting the company preemptively and they responded very quickly and shipped out the replacements too - can't beat that.

Out of curiosity for those folks who have had the rusting problem, were the supplied screws silver or black? My flaps came with black ones but I went ahead (as mentioned above) and preemptively asked for replacement screws and they arrived today - they're silver.

Damn it...mine are black too. Not happy to hear that $150 mud flaps come with inferior hardware in the box and that I'll have to go unscrew them at some point to do it right.

I'll let you all know what happens when I install with the replacement screws the company sent to me.

It's probably some form of 400-grade stainless steel since it's magnetic. It can rust but is still technically corrosion resistant.

I got mine in today and installed them. Afterwards I spayed the exposed screws with some Rustoleum rust reformer just as a preventative measure. I didn't like the look for the stainless anyways.

But doesn't the OEM splash guards have "Ford" on them? Seems like that is free advertising.

Last time I checked, the whole god damn vehicle said Ford doesn't it??
