RoadMaster Base Plate UPDATE

I received a message back in response to offering to be the test dummy for the 2025 base plate Road Master says there is currently a 2025 Lariat in their shop as of last Monday. they expect to have the base plates to market within 4 weeks. I should get a message when they are ready and will post when I get the email or call

I think with the ever shrinking selection of new flat towable vehicles that come to the market each year and since each baseplate is unique to each vehicle I think it’s thousands

I spoke with RoadMaster earlier today the 2025 Maverick they have in house has a 4K towing package which is good since I assume there is much less room than the 2K

I think so too, but I just got an email asking if mine has the tow package.... But I am reading into it I think.

Got this from Glenda, "The adaptive cruise control was not a problem. I would lean to think that having the 4K we will be safe with the 2K."

If someone said “10% of mavericks are flat towed”, I’d say “you’re crazy”.

If they said “1% of all mavericks get flat towed”, I’d say, “that number still seems too high”.

if they said “0.1% of all mavericks get flat towed”, I’d say, “That sounds reasonable”.

0.1% of 2024’s volume would be 131 mavericks.

in other words, I’m skeptical that it’s in the thousands.

I agree with your comment but I am excited to get this one hooked up to my RV

I would guess that the market for a brand new model year is in the hundreds, at most. The people who flat tow are mostly retired and they don't tend to use brand new vehicles as toads.
On the other hand, the Maverick is one of very few newer vehicles that can be flat towed, so as time goes by and the used market is more affordable, the number being towed could climb dramatically.
Another factor is that people flat towing tend to be brand loyal, so it behooves each manufacturer to have an offering to keep customers from jumping brands when they buy a newer toad.

Great News for all 2025 Maverick owners looking to flat tow four wheels down behind their RV - After getting a notification from Glenda today at RoadMaster I was able to place my order for the baseplate for my 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid and it’s a beautiful solution. I was also able to order the Nighthawk TowBar Combo Kit which includes all the wiring needed to complete the tow package and purchased the charging line to protect the battery from discharging during towing.

i am super excited it should all arrive early next week, I will post photos once I get it installed….

Thanks Terry for posting the link that Is exactly the documentation and photos RoadMaster provided me I plan to complete the installation within a few days after receiving the components and I will provide photos and any installation tip I find…
