Hi. Just wondering if this is my luck only with rims not being painted on brand new Maverick with blackout package or that’s normal for Ford quality control??
thanks.

I noticed on my black wheels where the paint is a little thin in spots and the clear coat is very soft and scratches just looking at it. Perks of buying the lowest priced truck sold in the USA.

I would not have accepted delivery if I was not happy.
I would and did inspect every inch of my 2026 Tremor.
Found no blemishes.

Welcome to owning an entry level vehicle from a US brand. Paying $54k Cdn for a budget vehicle was your first mistake.

Yeah cars are expensive now, especially if you get the top trims fully loaded out. It's just sticker shock I suppose, a loaded Lariat was $45k Cdn out the door 4 1/2 years ago. I wouldn't buy another Maverick, given the current price point. It was fine in the mid $20's to mid $30's (like mine was) a while ago, but with base XL starting at what I paid for my Lux XLT, it's just not worth it anymore, IMO.

Are you filling up with 93 Octane, in a hybrid? It's not even that expensive in Vancouver, and we always have the highest price in Canada (currently $2.05/L for regular).

Expensive?? Compared to what?

Find me anything else out there that can get 40 MPG, has AWD to tackle winter / sand / mud and can tow 4000 lbs

The argument that only the base trim is worth buying because it's an "economy truck" doesn't hold water. I would have hated an XL, I wanted adaptive cruise, lane keeping, the better stereo, the wheels, laminated windshield, etc etc. I would've paid even more for seat memory, rear heated seats etc

My previous truck was 80k, the Maverick does everything the old one did while getting triple the MPG in the city and more than double on the highway. I'm 100% happy with my purchase after almost 18 months and I've saved almost 9k in gas. I love it

I was talking about new vehicles, period. Guess that was too complex for you to figure out? Because you were dumb enough to pay $80k for you last truck is exactly why these manufactures charge what they do.

In the post you quoted, I demonstrated how the price of the average Maverick has increased by $10k per cofig in less than 5 years. Keep in mind the prices the OP and I are talking about are in Canadian dollars. I can assure you the average persons income hasn’t increased by $10k a year in that time. So yeah, they are way more expensive today.

Thinking you would also find this on $75k trucks. It's the state of quality in general. The bonus here is that he didn't spend $75k and is stuck with the massive depreciation and same possible flaws.

Hey, Icegradner, let's keep it friendly. If there isn't room for different opinions and preferences, then to degrade the comments into name calling serves no purpose.
Just calling a spade a spade. Sorry that bothers you. Companies charge what the market will bear, as long as people are willing to pay stupid amounts for things, companies will continue to do so.

Who the fk are you to judge my choices? Just because you haven't got the coin to keep up with life doesn't give you the right to call others dumb

If you only want to buy the base cheapo trim that's fine, why are you calling out those who want more? Crawl back into your hole ...

Given it low cost I was able to pay off my Maverick in just under 3 years. I have friends that have borrowed for 7 years for their giant Tundra tanks. I have heard there are 8 year loans as well but know no one that has one.

Every vehicle has its shortcomings. The ones mine have are the result of being able to pay it off in less than 3years. (y)
