I'm 62 and tend to just use the rear tire as a step and go over the side. Try it, it's easy.

I may not be still doing that in my 70's.

I'm 72 and just use this simple step stool. Seven bucks and works just fine. Just keep it in the back by the tailgate: one-step-folding-stool-black

I was actually just thinking about keeping a two-step thing in my cab but this is better. Wish there was a place to keep it in the bed, but maybe it'll fit under the back seat...

Wish Ford would put something at the corner bumpers like GM and Hyundai did.

Does anyone know of a retractable step for the Maverick bed. I know its not that high, but I’m 73 and my balance is not what it used to be.
Tired of having to use a step ladder to get into the bed.

Thanks.
I feel your pain...........I'm 77 and in great shape, but, a step is necessary. I bought a folding step that I store on the side of the bed and it works perfectly.

GM keeps altering and renewing their trademark and patented corner step bumper.
Keep Ford from using that design.

I don't own one. But this looks about the safest one out there.

Truck N' Buddy.

Full width: about $480
Small width: about $280

I like the idea of the Boomer step. Except, that it blocks a third of the tailgate even when stowed.
I'm trying to figure out. Why are folks always climbing into the beds of their Mavericks for??
Here is a short video.
You can't use a a bed cover or a tonneau cover with this step.
at the 37 to 42nd second mark you can see it sticks up above the tailgate.

They make a flush mounting one that does not interfere with soft or hard tonneau bed covers.

That's about the sturdiest step I've seen. I think it's even sturdier than the one on my 350.
