Own and love a 23 Lariat that has a 13,000 mile lifetime average of >46 MPG in suburban Atlanta driving a lotof truck stuff. The truck rides SO MUCH better when the back is load3d up a bit. The one thing I do not love is the entirely Front Wheel Drive platform that spins an inner front tire any time you really need to hustle, especially on wet roads. Have not been able to find a review that answers the following:
1. Does the AWD suspension fix the front tire spin when accelerating out of a turn? Can the rear hook up?
2. Does the AWD drive smoother
3. Does the AWD change handling dynamics?
4. Is there a noticeable decrease on fuel economy with the AWD?

Any other comparisons?

I've noticed the wheel spin on my 22 when turning and accelerating. My 25 is an awd hybrid and I haven't had it long enough to tell if the wheels spin or not. From what I read, it kicks in automatically in the fraction of a second so I don't see it happening on the street at least. Handling is the same for me. Can't feel a difference. And fuel mileage is lower than I expected, but in fairness, it's been cold out and the engine runs more to keep warm and I have less that 500 miles on it so it's not really broke in yet.

Unfortunately they’ve taken away the AWD drive screen for us AWD hybrid owners so until we add it via Forscan nobody will be able to tell you definitely but based on the behavior of the system previously it will engage AWD during spirited driving or throttle input especially if in sport mode.

FWD hybrids have the twist beam rear axle so that is why it rides stiff when empty and better loaded up.

The AWD gets fully independent rear suspension and while I came from a Tremor and my AWD feels rough in comparison - it will be a significantly more complaint ride than FWD.

EDIT: truthfully being in Atlanta I would not upgrade to the 25. Looks like you’ve got a lariat and sync 3 plus you get increased payload with the twist beam rear axle.
