I have a 2023 Tremor XLT Lux, with the 400W converter. This means the back of the center console has a 120V 400W outlet and round outlet with female USB outlets. Some Mavericks just have a single 12V outlet on the back of the center console- not sure if that is because they are a 2022, not a Lux so no converter, or something else.
Problem is I want to replace the USB outlets with a 12V outlet to charge a 2nd battery to run accessories (esp a 12V frig) when the car is off and the 12Vs outlet are dead. The battery will be under the rear seat.
I think it will be easy enuf to replace the USB outlets with a 12V outlet as the diameter of the assemblies seems to be the same. My concern is how much power would be delivered to the 12V outlet. I believe the 12V in front (and probably the bed wiring) is fused at 15 amps, 12V or 180W. As I do not think the USB outlets need that much power (do they?), is it likely that the power delivered to the USB outlets is substantially less that 180W?
I would like to deliver the full 180W to the 12V outlet so that I can charge my aux battery in a reasonable amount of time.
