I have a 2023 Tremor XLT Lux, with the 400W converter. This means the back of the center console has a 120V 400W outlet and round outlet with female USB outlets. Some Mavericks just have a single 12V outlet on the back of the center console- not sure if that is because they are a 2022, not a Lux so no converter, or something else.

Problem is I want to replace the USB outlets with a 12V outlet to charge a 2nd battery to run accessories (esp a 12V frig) when the car is off and the 12Vs outlet are dead. The battery will be under the rear seat.

I think it will be easy enuf to replace the USB outlets with a 12V outlet as the diameter of the assemblies seems to be the same. My concern is how much power would be delivered to the 12V outlet. I believe the 12V in front (and probably the bed wiring) is fused at 15 amps, 12V or 180W. As I do not think the USB outlets need that much power (do they?), is it likely that the power delivered to the USB outlets is substantially less that 180W?

I would like to deliver the full 180W to the 12V outlet so that I can charge my aux battery in a reasonable amount of time.

I haven't taken apart the rear console to say for certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if both connectors for the 12V power point or USB are present. If there's a T-shaped connector with a white w/ brown stripe wire that's your guy. That rear outlet (and the front power point) is individually fused at 20a although it's 16ga wire so better ~15a which is in line with the typical 180W limit of lighter plugs. The USB circuit is only fused at 5a.

Is there a reason why you dont want to charge the aux battery using the 120V outlet?

Converter losses. Loss on convert from 12V to AC and then loss from AC back to 12V DC to charge battery.
Conversion losses on 15a of power are going to be a rounding error in the (in)efficiencies of an ICE.

The XL just has a cigarette lighter socket in that spot. I use one of these for USB purposes (link below). Perhaps you could just plug one in the front cig. lighter outlet and run a cord to the back seat, hiding it under the console.

Second Ozarkbeards recommendation using an extension like this https://a.co/d/2nGJsdZ maybe the simplest solution
