It's probably a good idea to take it off in case it causes a delay to get scheduled for production. It's something that can be done easily afterwards anyway.

I ordered on 12/23/21 and told myself I’m ordering what I want but 10 months later I’ve changed my mind, now my dealer says it’s locked in from ford. Guess I’m just gonna wait
If your order is locked, it sounds like you are scheduled for production. Have you talked to Ford Chat to see what your status is?

Don't get excited. 23s aren't due to start being scheduled until next week. Could be any number of reasons. Like Ford trying to get a firm grasp as to what the hell we just did to them.

Edit: of course, I see you had a 22 order. So, don't know on that one.

Personally, I'm sticking with what I chose. There was a reason I chose it. I've let my dealer know to punt the floor mats and painted wheels if they become a constraint (he does not believe they will be but told me he would have punted them on my behalf if that was all that was holding it up) but the rest are non-negotiable. That is what I want in a truck and if I can't get it in a Maverick, there are other trucks.

I work from home so I don't need a Maverick. But I am a Scoutmaster, so it would be more handy than my 2006 Saturn Vue.

Prior to my xlt ecoboost being rolled over I added a moon roof & sliding rear window. Dealership told me they could not add because were locked out by Ford. They later found out, they had to remove priority code make the change & re-entered priority code. Unless you've been given a build date / vin, I think they can remove it for you. Good luck

I contacted my dealer to take the adjustable bed rails off my 2023 order. He got back to me, last night, by email. Done. It's the last constraint I'm willing to take off to try to get scheduled. I need the hybrid XLT Lux package and remote start. I kept all my constraints (tonneau, floor mats, etc.) on for my 2022 MY order, and stayed at Priority 02 from late March to ending up not ever getting scheduled. Lesson learned. Take off any items you can get put on after delivery.

I removed CP360 in March on my 22 order, did nothing, that was my only constraint, and it’s a EB, still waiting. Actually I have a theory that the more add ons you have the faster it gets built, I’ve seen plenty of CP360 Lux vehicles being built with later orders then mine.

I think it depends on the add on. A spray on bedliner will likely do nothing but slow you down. But I can see Ford requiring a certain number of Lux packages per run.

I'm still debating removing the spray in Bed Liner. I got my order in at the dealer last Thursday within a couple hours and they gave me a Priority code 10. I got a Lariat Hybrid, with Lux package, Co-Pilot 360 assist, cyber orange, remote start and spray in bed liner. I am willing to wait a while but also would prefer it sooner.

I guess I will see what happens on the 29th when they start scheduling. I mean they have to make some amount of Mavericks with spray in bed liners...

Yep. At this point, in for a penny, in for a pound. But the hybrid will be the biggest issue for you. Getting over that hump will be huge and so I'd hate for a bedliner (that l've seen isn't that great) to hold you up. Line-x would likely do a better job.

Yeah one of my co-workers ordered a 22 Hybrid XLT back when the order banks opened in 2021. They just recently built it and he still has not gotten it. I hope I dont have the same fate. I am still considering taking off the spray in bed liner. There are shops around me that will do it. I was just hoping to have that be rolled in to my loan.

This is my reason for a Maverick too… I have a 40 mile round trip commute so I ordered a hybrid, but I’m an Assistant Cubmaster/Den Leader and a truck would be way better for campouts than my VW Passat.

I also dropped the spray in bed liner and protective film due to constraints.
