remote started mine this morning and drivers seat and wheel were on, but not the passenger seat, not sure if I've ever paid attention to if it's been on or not? I have settings in the truck to "auto"
My passenger seat never turns on until I've gotten in, and then, it's only at the last setting. So if my passenger left it on, it'll be on after I get in.

I haven't been able to get the seats on when remote starting with either setting - Will try again.
Has it been cold?

I think it has to be below 40 degrees for the heated wheel and seats to turn on when remote starting .
It seems to be somewhere around the 50* mark, maybe as high as 60*... I'll have to start keeping an eye out... it's 42 now and I'm about to head out of the office, maybe I'll give it a start and see...

45 on the truck thermometer, heated seats on high, heated steering wheel on, and defroster was on the max, and turned to the last setting. (happens after you turn the key to on)

Im not sure when I’ll see temps above 50 to test warmer…

Not sure if I really understand your question.....
If you choose auto, the heated steering wheel and heated driver seat will turn on if it is cold out..... I don't know what the temperature counts as low.... I only remote start when temps are below freezing. Seats and wheel are always on for me!
Mike don't come on but it hasn't been below freezing yet, just in the 30's and 40's.

I'm up near buffalo (fortunately outside the snow belt that just hit)

I remote start in the morning, usually for about 15 minutes, when I get in, the ICE is running, the truck is warm, the defroster is usually set to "MAX"

Also, being cold out, my mpg has taken a noticeable hit...
You know what hurts your MPG more than cold weather?

Running it for 15 minutes a day before getting in. That's 0 MPG.

😱

Well, when you have ice on the windshield you've really got no other option. If I scrape it and drive, the windshield fogs up anyway, and I have to stop for it to defrost, or try to drive and put lives at risk. hmm... fuel mileage or safety? Not a difficult decision... For me anyway.

I wouldn't consider that in my fuel mileage anyway though. I often stop on my way in to work, at which time the engine is turned off, and the MPG reading resets. This reading has been lower with the colder temperatures, and I've noticed more ICE usage when it would otherwise be running in electric.

Agreed. For me it's no different to remote start and let it warm up while I'm finishing getting ready to leave for work, than going out 5-6 minutes early to manually turn on it and de-ice, so either way you have to take the pain in the fuel use.

I used to run an extension cord from the house to plug in an electric heater in my car 1 hour before leaving and that worked well, still could, but it's a pain to do on a really cold morning.
