Remote start on XLT

Just tried remote start on my key fob (XLT/LUX), doesn't work... it does work via Ford Pass. Any idea why it doesn't work via fob?
Edit: Figured it out, gotta hit the "Lock" button first, then right away 2x Remote button (even if doors are already locked).

The Ford Pass is a little slow in responding, but works every time I have used it.I didn't opt for the LUX, but it sounds like if I download the ford pass app I can do it on my phone? Then just activate once inside? Haha I like older cars so am not used to any of this
