Ford pass app works great though.

I had ford pass on my Edge ST, and yes it does work, when I am walking out of the house in the morning sure ford pass is fine. However any other time, at a hardware store, gas station or etc, the remote clicks to start are MUCH more convenient.

Yeah there is a convenience factor. I'm biased because some knucklehead wired in an aftermarket remote start in the used 05 explorer we own and it caused no end of trouble.

I understand your concern, however technology has come a long way and this does not involve any wire cutting. This simply plugs into the ODBII harness and then you program the module and done. It's not like back in the day when you had to splice into the starting wiring and etc.

That's good because you should see the friggin rat's nets of wires under my explorer's dash.

Another option that gives remote start, $90 more, that also gives you a two-stage shock sensor with alerts on the Ford Pass app when it's been set off, is the perimeter plus alarm add-on.
I put one on my Lariat lux even though it already has remote start, I wanted the alarm with notifications.

Love it. You can adjust sensitivity to your preference. Gives a chirp if you lightly hit/tap the truck or tires. Alarm goes off with any harder force and I get a notice on my Ford Pass app.

It does Not come with a fob. My Maverick already had remote start, but from what I've read the stock fob will work on non remote start vehicles.

Functionality:
Stock fobs will work! If you only install the pps module you will get keyfob remote start (not sure on distance)
Press LOCK, UNLOCK, LOCK
