This is a new message I never received before "Remote features disabled to preserve battery". I have been on vacation for the last 2 weeks (drive your vehicle to access remote commands and useful features). I do have an 1 amp NOCO charger on my AGM battery (about 6 months old). When I look at the Ford app it tells me in bold letters Battery saver mode. I would have thought my 1 amp charger would prevent this type of message?

I'm not terribly worried about it, more or less curious./

I've had better luck maintaining my batteries with a 2 Amp smart charger.

I use a 5 bank 4 Amp Battery Tender smart charger for my motorcycles and the lawn tractor.

I fortunately haven't had a need to use one on my '23 Ecoboost. I also don't have the app on my phone and I pulled fuse 11 so that the trucks' modem isn't constantly trying to communicate with anything.

2 factors that the driver can check. The other is Ford's SOC scale to 40% or below.

https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...y-does-my-ford-vehicle-enter-deep-sleep-mode/

Deep Sleep mode is designed to conserve your vehicle's battery power. This setting is activated when your vehicle falls under the following conditions:

  • Vehicle inactivity for 14 consecutive days
  • The battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts
  • Extremely cold/hot weather conditions

I have also read the conditions for Deep Sleep Mode and it seems that every time it's happened to me the battery voltage is around 11.5 Volts.

That's due to the 3rd item I said you can't check easily.
Vast majority of complaints are for that reason.

I use to get this notification once in a long while in the old version of the app. It was usually if I didn't drive the truck once in over a week. With the new updated version of the app, I seem to get this all the time now. Even after a longer drive (between 30 minutes and an hour).

It has nothing to do with the app at all.

The app is merely a user interface to data that sits on Ford's servers.
That data is provided by the truck.

My Maverick was sitting for 14 days when I received this message! I just didn't think I would get a battery message when I had a 1 amp trickle charger on it. It still started today which is good

Right. It wasn't the battery in this case. Just the set 14 interval.
