I don't know, I got my first car in 1990 and I've never, ever had an issue with mold on the carpet mats in any car. I think they do a better job of soaking up the winter crap and then in the spring I take them out and wash them good with some upholstery cleaner and hose them off an they look brand new. Like I said previously I hate the look of the rubber mats as they age. They turn gray and no matter how you clean them they look worn and terrible. That's just my opinion.
Lucky you I guess, moldy mats are not fun to deal with.
I don't know why you'd want to spend an entire winter with mats soaked full of salt and grime, I wash my rubber mats every other week when it's not absolutely frigid out.
I hate the look of carpet mats when they're sodden with water and leaking all over the car and can't imagine dealing with that for months on end.

Have had several brands of WeatherTech TYPE floor mats and have not found WeatherTech any better durable or fit, and not worth twice the price. Do find they all turn gray and scratched up in a few months...I use Tire Blacking in the spray can on the mats and they return to shiny black but you have to wipe the mats off with a dry rag or they will be very slick. They all seem to deform their shape but leaving them in the sun for a half hour helps puts them back in their original shape.

I installed the Husky Weatherbeater floor mats in my 2025. They fit will and I let Husky know as they weren't sure they would fit. The rear mat is all one piece unlike the factory mats.

I did order the factory mats but got a great deal on the Husky's so the factory mats will sit on the shelf in the shop until I sell it or ?

I’m thinking about getting these. How are they holding up and do you mind attaching a picture?
Still looks good, never wash them. Just shake off the dirt. Not bad for $50 on Black Friday.

I run Huskys, they're soft rubber not hard plastic, great fit and no gaps. I loved the older Weathertecs when they were made of heavy rubber but don't care for the new plastic.

I think the newer hard plastic is popular amongst those who clean em often and want them to look new all the time. Rubber is harder to keep clean but heavy rubber keeps more road noise down and IMHO hold up better to heavy use and not get bent or creased. At work I park in a gravel lot and at home park in the grass so they stay dirty all the time.

I went with Weather Tech also (based on past experience).

Pros:
* Nice and deep profile, saved me at least once when a big spill happened.
* Tough, take a lot of abuse.
* Looks nice, fast easy to clean. In a very salty winter in the Midwest, it took less than 5 minutes to go to a manual wash, take out the two fronts, spray them down with a bit of soap, then water rinse. No residue left after an overnight dry. Clean like new.

Cons:
* I agree about the driver's side getting a bit wobbly and difficult at times (getting in, my foot often grazes that side, but the passenger side isn't a problem). When the weather gets warmer, I'll tack it down with something or another. But really, the mats stay clipped down otherwise.

If I could verify that the TuxMats are as easy to clean, I'd be willing to try them. Their style is nice and they look very deep also. These brands are both on the pricy side, but I'm done with cheap floor mats. It matters for me during messy winter weather... Your mileage may vary. 🙂
Tuxmats are incredibly easy to clean.
