Just installed OEM mats. Was surprised that the front passenger mat did not have the anchor receptacle. Not sure about the 2-piece rear mats. Wouldn't call the fit around the edges of any of the four mats tight but, then, perhaps they will conform better when it's warmer. We'll see how they wear.

I see this thread has pretty much only recommended rubber mats and I know people seem to prefer that type but I'm to go against the grain here and recommend the 3D MAXpider Elegant Carpeted Floor Liners. They are a bit on the expensive side but they are awesome, I couldn't be happier with them.

I much prefer carpeted mats, they look so much nicer and I really don't understand the fascination with the rubber mats. If they accumulate too much snow or water then it rolls off onto the carpet. Plus the rubber mats never keep their dark color and as they age they always start to turn gray and always look dirty. I'm a freak about keeping the interior of our vehicles clean and the rubber mats look awful usually in less than year of using them.

I like how these 3D MaXpider Carpeted Mats have the raised edges and how the driver mat has the reinforced section for the heel. I always end up wearing a whole through the drivers side mat where my heel rests so the reinforced heal area is a nice addition. I got them for about $185 with the forum discount. I don't recommend products too often because everyone has different tastes but these are the best floor mats I've ever had in any vehicle I've owned.

I have weathertech in my old F-250 and the factory floor liners in the Maverick. I like both but prefer the Maverick’s…much less slippery! And they seem to clean up easier.
That’s why I like the TuxMat material it isn’t slippery like the WeatherTech especially when wet

Because winter. Carpet mats look awful in about 30 seconds once the snow starts flying then you get all that salt and grit trapped in the carpet and if you don't drive the vehicle much you can get mold.
No thank you.

In the summer I don't mind carpet mats but I'm not about to spend $400 on floor mats just to have both styles

I went with Weather Tech also (based on past experience).

Pros:
* Nice and deep profile, saved me at least once when a big spill happened.
* Tough, take a lot of abuse.
* Looks nice, fast easy to clean. In a very salty winter in the Midwest, it took less than 5 minutes to go to a manual wash, take out the two fronts, spray them down with a bit of soap, then water rinse. No residue left after an overnight dry. Clean like new.

Cons:
* I agree about the driver's side getting a bit wobbly and difficult at times (getting in, my foot often grazes that side, but the passenger side isn't a problem). When the weather gets warmer, I'll tack it down with something or another. But really, the mats stay clipped down otherwise.

If I could verify that the TuxMats are as easy to clean, I'd be willing to try them. Their style is nice and they look very deep also. These brands are both on the pricy side, but I'm done with cheap floor mats. It matters for me during messy winter weather... Your mileage may vary. 🙂

Mine cleaned up very nicely in the coin operated wash with high pressure soap and high pressure rinse. Looked like new.

I like that the OEM liners are a bit minimalist and they say Maverick on them. I like the OEM look. Easy to pull out and they do the job of holding slush water. I'm sure the other brands have better coverage but the OEM is the best match for me. For me, they were on the build sheet but great use of Ford points imo.

Me too. Have had them over a year and they are holding up well.
Easy to clean, easy to remove/install. Good coverage under the gas pedal.

I don't know, I got my first car in 1990 and I've never, ever had an issue with mold on the carpet mats in any car. I think they do a better job of soaking up the winter crap and then in the spring I take them out and wash them good with some upholstery cleaner and hose them off an they look brand new. Like I said previously I hate the look of the rubber mats as they age. They turn gray and no matter how you clean them they look worn and terrible. That's just my opinion.
