I see where a lot owners are getting recalls completed and some are having issues. I currently have three recalls:

23S27. Under hood fire. Remedy not yet available
23C41 Turn signal Outage detection failure. Recall incomplete
23E09 Reprogram powertrain control module. Remedy not yet available

Curious what is being done to these vehicles since the remedy is not available? Presently my turn signals work fine and the truck is driving fine. For now I will just hold off.

New programming is available for the last two. And programming for the first should be deployed soon.
Thanks, but the information on my Fordpass App does not reflect this.

I'm holding off as long as possible. Everything works great right now, I don't want it all screwed up over an unnecessary update. I will wait until Ford gets their chit together on these updates. I know some have no problems with updated, but others have had a nightmare. I just feel that it can wait. Good Luck with yours!

There are either glitches in the software updates, or the dealer you go to is not doing the updates correctly. If you do get the updates, it's probably best, if possible, to go to a very large dealer that has a lot of experience installing Maverick software updates.

If you take it in for anything else, they are required to perform the recall safety updates.

I would stay away from that recall. Any reprogram for emission to ME is a red flag. I don't want it. Sure we can reprogram to lower emission but who cares if it reeks havoc on the way the vehicle drives afterward.

People in California and Massachusetts will have to get this recall completed in order to renew their vehicle registration.

Everyone else can ignore it if they wish.

I have a 22 ecoboost. I have had exactly 2 recalls and both were promptly handled by my local dealer. In fact, one of the 2 recalls Was handled in my driveway, fast and easy. Ford now is coming to you, depending if it can be accomplished in the field.

I have had both of those recalls done. No problems. I have the same hybrid as you 2023 XLT. It is my opinion from reading all of the various threads that the issue is the PCM recall 23E09 that is at the root of the problem. I checked my VIN# and I am NOT a part of this particular recall. 23E09 is specific to the Power Control Module. If you haven't received a recall specific to 23E09, you should be ok. Read ALL the threads, I think you will reach the same conclusion.

I first got notice of fire under hood in Jan 23--we were told parts unavailable till end of quarter....I'm still being told that after getting 2 more letters most recently Feb 24--parts anticipated end of year per my dealership.

There can be four other modules besides the PCM updated in recall 23E09.
Had this recall performed on my '22 XL when it first became available, since it was the only avenue to have the other modules (BECM, SOBDM, SOBDM-C, and specifically the ABS) updated, at the time anyway. Needed to be done to eliminate the seriously dangerous brake grab issue that earlier builds had.
No issues on my unit since my 23E09 update. Haven't had the turn signal or IPC recalls performed though.
I'd be curious if anyone has had the litany of issues without having had 23C41 or 24C01 done, they seem to be cropping up concurrently with the newer recalls.

Cheers.
