I think Ford should pay me for my time wasted at the dealership doing recalls. I’ve spent about 30 hours total so far sitting in the waiting room.

I would LOVE to see you bill Ford for your time. They only pay their dealers 60% so it would be really funny to see what they offer you.

I'm in NC too. Asheville Ford sent a friendly tech to my driveway for free to do two controller firmware recalls. And I'm a 30 minute drive away. I went ahead and had him do the oil change while he was here.

Ford will do oil changes at your house??? Software updates I get those can be done wherever but I'm surprised they would do an oil change.

It'll never happen but no reason one can't wish it so. I mean, I've always complained that my dental bill or doctor bill should be less if my appointments for 1:00 and they don't get me in till 10 after or quarter after.

Your lucky. I bring my laptop to my doctors appointments.

They need to extend the warranty also instead of pestering me to pay for a extended warranty.

I’m in Oklahoma now, but my dealership in Colorado O’Meara ford had a mobile recall service.

I just hope my Ford dealer has remodeled their waiting room. The last time I was there it was a dark paneled room with dim florescent lights, cracked linoleum floors, and worn out seats like you would find in a barber's shop in the '60s. Not a place you would like to be stuck for several hours. I do think they should have a loaner vehicle, though. Mine will offer you a ride to work in the mornings. My luck, I am retired! I will have to take care of my own ride. I do love Lexus service. They pamper their customers.

I hate waiting at doctors office but it's better than having him/her finding an issue and telling you need to make another appointment. Same with DMV, I don't want them raising my taxes to hire more clerks.

Sure, push this or push the government to require this then see how the manufacturers resist doing any recalls. The Jeep I had would pop up a message and tell me they were doing a software update over the connection, but I don’t like that, think it is open to hackers.

I would agree, but I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen - ever. Still, you could write up an invoice and send them a bill to see what happens. My hours are all billable, just like a lawyer's hours.

I agree completely! Time is our most valuable asset and I hate it when someone or a business wastes mine.
