Rear visability

I removed the rear headrest on the right. This reduces the blindspots when trying to pull out into traffic. Anybody else do this or am I weird.

UPDATE: I installed the rearview mirror @robbyrob suggested and it is a heck of a lot better. I left the headrests (all 3) in place. Much clearer visibility and pretty easy to install! Not a bad fix for 10 bucks.

That’s the first upgrade everybody makes increasing visibility by removing those wrapping them in plastic and storing them away in your bedroom closet and damn anybody that sits in the backseat. If you leave them in the car, they might get too hot in Arizona and be ruined so mine are tucked away for resale in 10 years. I might have two people over 20 years in the backseat.

Just took mine off today what a difference

The sweet spot for me was removing the passenger side and middle headrests. I very seldom have a third person, and when I do they sit behind me.

Yes. I removed both rear headrests for a better rear view. (Stored them under the rear seat for use as needed.)

I removed both headrest because of rear sight was lost. Put in closet and store until sell maverick

Excellent! In a huge failure of imagination, I installed a big semi-panoramic rearview mirror instead.

Benefit of being a truck driver for over 30 years. I hardly use my rear view mirror because I don't have one in my tractor. Side mirrors are all I need.

Ya I use my back up camera and side mirrors I got use to it for my Ram work van that has no windows in the back 3/4s of it. (Just windshield Drivers and passenger door).

The rear view never really bothered me in the truck j have had car with restricted views a few times.

I just adjusted the mirrors as if the space between the head rests was the size of the rear window.

I also added blind spot mirrors on side mirrors. Can't live without those little dudes after 12 years of driving a Focus that came with them from the factory.

Zero blind spot. Zero monkeying with head rests, ever.
