  1. What type of payment do you take when selling truck

For some time now I insist on going to the buyers bank and watching the bank check be issued over the counter, then exchanging the title for the check right there.
  2. I love my Maverick, but...it's going up for sale soon.

I am going to sell my Maverick as I just retired and my needs changed. Check out the Mazda CX30 hybrid. I drove it, the Honda CRV and the Bronco Sport yesterday and the Mazda impressed.
  3. Vibrations around 40-50 MPH

I hope that is true. My service advisor referenced the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I’d rather not have to find out but ….
  4. Vibrations around 40-50 MPH

I took my 2022 XLT hybrid with 26,000 miles on it to the dealer yesterday because of the vibration felt on acceleration through the pedal. I picked it up today with both axle assemblies replaced. It is definitely the cv joints and clearly a manufacturing defect that ford is ignoring. Didn’t cost...
  5. Onyx EZR Sirius radio

Sirius Xmas has the Onyx EZR radio on sale. Has anyone installed one in their Maverick? Where does it go? What do you think? I know I could just use the app on my phone but I never bother to plug it in on short trips so I’m looking for something that will just come on without extra steps.
  6. Rear visability

The sweet spot for me was removing the passenger side and middle headrests. I very seldom have a third person, and when I do they sit behind me.
  7. Daylight savings woes with clock

Update. This morning the correct time was still there so I guess it eventually decided the new time was ok. Weird but not a big deal in the scheme of things. I’m still enjoying this truck.
  8. Daylight savings woes with clock

I was hoping my truck would automatically update the clock to “fall back” but alas, no. So I proceeded to manually go in to the settings and adjust it manually. However, the next time I started the truck, instead of the correct time, the clock showed “— —“ so I manually entered the correct time...
  9. Hybrid Shudder from electric to ICE (video uploaded)

I notice a surge sometimes at slow speed when coming to a stop, that makes me have to push on the brakes harder and makes for a less than smooth stop. A few times this has been accompanied with some minor shuddering. I was thinking it was switching from ICE to electric but??
  10. Very Very Poor job on Recall

There are some other threads on this fix, where the factory diagram for the holes is posted. I did it myself because of pictures of a dealers hack job someone posted. If you take your time, use a hole saw to radius the corners of the larger cuts, and use a block of wood under the drill bit, it...
  11. New Maverick Recall: 2.5 Hybrid Engine Fire Hazard [Updated w/ Safety Recall Notice to Dealers]

I decided to do the modification myself although it took longer than the 20 minutes Ford allows for it! I'm sure the next time I do it, it will be faster...
  12. Recall 22S47 Pictures of work done - add yours if you want

I just removed the vanes myself. Took 5 minutes. I was going to let the dealer do the under body tray but comparing the pictures above of the work to the recall instructions I think I’ll do it myself. The instructions show the corners of the square cutout to be radiuses, not straight right...
  13. Recall Work Revealed Another Problem - Be Aware

I just removed the vanes. took 5 minutes. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2022/RCMN-22V484-1315.pdf
  14. New Maverick Recall: 2.5 Hybrid Engine Fire Hazard [Updated w/ Safety Recall Notice to Dealers]

I just popped the vanes out myself following the instructions on this link: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2022/RCMN-22V484-1315.pdf Pretty easy, took 5 minutes. I'd cut the holes in the underbody tray too but I want to have the recall cleared so I'll have the dealer do that.
  15. Recall Work Revealed Another Problem - Be Aware

thank you for posting Maverich. Too bad there are some flamers on here, but for the most part people are really helpful. I'm thinking of removing the vanes myself and just have the dealer clear the recall when they cut the holes in the engine tray.
  16. Recall 22S47 Pictures of work done - add yours if you want

The added drain holes in the cover won't affect aerodynamics much but the removed vanes will. MPG will go down. As designed, the vanes are there and closed as much as possible to aid in mpg. On the other hand, if operating temps and underhood temps are reduced by this "fix", the wiring and...
  17. Bed Mat Misleading

It fits nicely in the spray in bed and the cubby storage opens fine. I did have to cut out for the two D rings in the front.
  18. Gaps in the bed.

I've noticed these gaps on my xlt with spray in bed liner. I would think if it was supposed to be this way, both sides would be the same. They are not. It looks like sloppy welding to me. Has anyone from Ford weighed in on this? Overall, I am enjoying my Maverick a lot. I agree this is a minor...
