Ram 1000- Future Maverick competition?

Visiting Turks & Caicos this week and I Spotted a few of these driving around.
This one was parked so I got some pics.
It’s branded as a Ram 1000 Big Horn. Left hand drive like in the US unlike most of the micro cars and light vans I’ve seen around. Here they drive on the left hand side of the road.

This car definitely seems solid and safe like it’s a candidate for approval for US roads.

Anyway this seems like it will steal some of the Hyundai SantaFe’s market since it’s more car-like than the Maverick but that tailgate is going to make a lot of people that get these for grocery shopping give it a second look.

Different from the Rampage. The Rampage has a taller and more truck-like profile. Either way it's unlikely to see them come to the states since being built in Brazil means they get hit with the 25% import tax on trucks.
