Rack-It lumber rack structural support required?

I just spoke with a Rack-It dealer near the Rack-It manufacturer and he told me that if I want a lumber rack, I need to purchase a structural kit from Ford before installing the rackit rack. Has anyone heard of this ?
I realize that it's an aluminum bed and adding additional weight/stress could damage the bed/body but this is the first time hearing about it and nothing has been posted on this forum that I can find.
I tend to believe him since he just passed up a sale but if it's just adding a kit, then I'm still interested...?

PS. I was told it's called a "Load Box Reinforcement kit" but all I can find is for a Ranger PU bed.

I think they have it confused with the new Ranger which does need one. Have not heard of a need on the Maverick

Idk anything about the rack but the Maverick has an all steel body and bed No aluminum. The f150 is the only ford with aluminum an body.

I just went and checked with a magnet
The sales person had told me they were aluminum when I was originally looking to order.
I have a few dents in the inside of the bed that I some how put in when we went camping and I was being careful and just assumed it was because it's aluminum.
That only means that the steal is REAL thin... :~(

I've had half a dozen sheets of plywood along with some other miscellaneous lumber with no problems. Also over half a ton of manure then as much firewood as I could stuff in it and it handled it like a champ. Load that baby up.
