I recently ordered Redline hood struts and had two issues. I am looking for guidance on one of them.

First, as far as Redline goes, I ordered the struts directly from Redline. Three minutes after placing the order, I had a tracking number. I had the part in hand three days later. And when I called the company regarding one of my issues on a Saturday afternoon, the owner (I assume) answered my call on his day off.

First issue: One off the brackets (passenger side, hood) for my 2025 ecoboost would not fit. The owner advised that there is a modified bracket for 2025s. He is sending it out. This is just for your information if you have an affected 2025.

Now my question: If you look at the photos, the windshield wiper fluid line runs right where the bracket goes. Has anyone installed Redline hood struts and had to reroute the fluid line? If so, where did you move it to? I couldn't put the bracket in place for the photo because that was the bracket that is being replaced.

Thanks

I would just pop that line out of the plastic clips, then install the bracket.

The clips that hold the line can be opened with a small screwdriver to allow you to place the cable slack around the mounting point.

I had the same issue. Redline sent the original order UPS, the replacement part by USPS, so the install had to wait about a week.

I installed mines in 20 mins last week, had the same problems, unscrew the second bolt for the hood hinge, it will move to a side and the bracket will clear, the cable just move to one side and once the support has been installed, just put it back on top.
Before you ask. no the hood did not move or misaligned.

Simple just move the line over to the right side of the bolt/bracket, it does have to stay in its exact spot
