I got a 22 lariat with lariat lux, fx4, and tow packages.

I was going to use forscan to add eco mode since mine came without it, but I gotta ask; why wasn’t it included to begin with? It seems my truck was fully loaded but didn’t come with sport and eco modes and there’s gotta be a reason why not. Is it just a business decision to exclude it from my packages, or is it a legit compatibility issue?

Also wondering if there’s a way to see if there’s a third party tune installed using forscan? I want to make sure it’s on the stock tune and the prior owner didn’t add anything extra.

Forscan cant alter the tune, only a third party tuner can alter the tune.

It's just a business/ marketing decision for the modes. Technically, all Mavericks have all modes - they're just not all enabled.

And what happens if you ask the Stealer if they can enable eco and sport modes on those that don’t have them with their expensive computers? 🤔

They will not do it. But Forscan is easy and cheap to use. Just requires a $30 cable and a Windows laptop.

My 24 Lariat (no FX4) has both... Did they leave them off the FX4's? I am missing what they called "deep snow and sand" that I had in my 2020 Escape Titanium, but do have the towing setting now. Would give up Sport to get the "deep now and sand" setting from my Escape. I used it once when I was stuck and tires spinning, walked right out in that setting. The way it handled in the "deep snow and sand" setting makes me think that setting locks the rear tires as it was pushing straight where I had the wheel turned to the right. I think I may have used the sport once during the 4 years I had my Escape.

Fx4 didn't get sport or eco, gets "mud and ruts" and "sand".

If you don't have any forscan mods already, I really doubt you have any tune software installed.

Easy eco mode is just not pushing the go pedal. I saw no mileage improvement using it, just a tranny shifting way early and slow throttle response. I actually do use it more now that I installed a tune. In heavy traffic that can't quite maintain speed the tranny wants to kick down as I accelerate a little. Eco mode stops that, but that's the only time I use it.
