Would you or anyone know the milage ratings on the Continental tires?
I believe the OEM tires are Conti ProContact TX, which is a 6yr/65k warranty. They aren't rated that highly.

I've been using the TerrainContact HT on my current truck and I like them, tirerack review is good as are customer ratings.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll drive them and see how they handle. Can get other tired later on.

Good part of this forum is you get a lot of good opinions from folks with a ton of different experiences from a huge variety of vehicles and components. Super helpful when you come across something like this. Great thread (y)

Our XLT arrived with small dents and scratches on the front bumper caused by the carrier which the dealer addressed with a new bumper and paint. We also noticed indentations on all of the tires and let the dealer know we would like it addressed. No effect on driving, but to me, these were odd and I had never seen them before. Fast forward months, and we finally have a response from Ford, and it is essentially what everyone is saying on here. Manufacturing "defect" that is common and does not affect the tire's safety or reliability. The reason we pursued it all the way to Ford was that the installed Ford app was active before it the truck was delivered, and we received a "low tire pressure" notice from the app while the car was enroute to being delivered. This made us think the carrier had deflated the tires for fitment onto the trailer, and that they then strapped it down through the rims and the straps caused the indentations. They are very visible and appear on all 4 tires. Looks like we are just going to have to live with it at this point. We have pictures and documentation in case there are ever any issues, so we'll just inspect them periodically from this point forward.

Make sure to check your tire pressures. For whatever reason mine was all WAY too high when I brought it home, all in the 40's. Should be 35psi. I usually put them at around 36psi. But if you leave it in the 40s for a long time and drive on it for a while it could eventually cause bulges in the tire...

Interesting, thanks, that's good to know. Strange that my dealer told me Ford did not warranty the tires when I purchased my Maverick a couple of weeks ago.
It's the dealership's way of getting you to buy new tires because most people may not know this info.

Over the past 30 years it has become so prevalent that I only notice it when tire don’t have those.

So a week or 2 ago i got truck detailed. Guy put tire shine and thats when I noticed a small indentation on front right tire. Looked around and it was only one. Today at work a guy wanted to check out the truck and the lighting was perfect where now I see 2 similar indentations on front left tire. Checked the front right again and now theres 2 and one of them as you can see on pic looks really bad. Ill be taking the truck to dealership tomorrow. Only has 3500 miles. No offroading or never hit a curve. So possible factory defect?

Took my 2024 to the dealer for the same issue. Was told it was due to the tie downs used when transporting the vehicle.

Here is me quoting me from another thread about the sidewall bumps. TLDR: Belt overlap:

I had to have mine replaced at 3,300 miles with cuts all over them and 3 flats. I live 1.5 miles down a maintained dirt road.

In living out here for 23 years I'd say this is the worst problem I've had with tires except for 1 set I slashed thru the carcass in the first week and traded for something else.

The divots correspond to the layers of rubber where they join and are vulcanized inside the tires. The dark bands below. Not a defect but visible because of how incredibly thin the sidewalls are. They feel like a bike tire.

You can see by the weight there is not much tire there. The 108 load range tires I replaced mine with weigh 34lbs each.

I would suggest anyone who plans to even pull these off clean pavement get them off and sell on FB Marketplace as new take offs.

I can't even sell mine because they are so cut up with 1 patch and 2 plugs in them :(
