Pre-collision assist auto braking - anyone had it kick in to save them?

I know the Maverick is standard with pre-collision auto braking. I have yet to be in a dicey situation, but I have it set to highest sensitivity, and yet I never receive any warnings, etc when approaching a stopped vehicle.
Honda vehicles I’ve driven in the past have warned me with audible noises and graphics if approaching a stopped car, but the Maverick has yet to make the pre-collision function known.
Maybe it is conservative and not as reactive as Honda’s safety sense, but just curious whether it will ever kick in if I need it to.

Anyone verified the auto-braking is functional? I don’t want to risk hitting a vehicle just to test to see if it is awake or not, but no clue whether mine is active. 😄
I wondered the same thing about mine. I took it in to the dealer, and it turns out it wasn't working. They ordered a new module and I'm having it installed next Saturday. Take yours in if you suspect it's not working like it's supposed to be. Use the term "Collision Avoidance" when you talk to the dealer...my service rep seemed confused by the term "AEB".

If i ever get a Mav for fun I will test it out with cardboard painting of car. If i hit the cardboard its not working. I read about a test they did with a bunch of vehicles and Subaru was the best. it could stop the vehicle at the fastest speed. I thuink it was about 35 mph. Beat the tesla.

Eminently close to reduce speed of impact.. so it’s not a severe impact.. I hope this helps..
That is what I assumed. i just didn’t know.
I figured it would slam on brakes at last minute to minimize the crash, but not far enough away To slam on brakes as I pass a parked car too closely.

Nooooo, never try it out on another vehicle, but maybe a few plastic garbage pails @ 1 mph in your driveway or maybe your boss? :ROFLMAO:
Wow! The BOSS? That would mean knocking off the wife.🙃 I don't know if that's a good idea. Nothing worse than poking a cougar in the corner. Just sayin. However, what about a giant poster. Like they use at Football Games? Just drive right through it, worst possible case. No damage to the Maverick or paper work knocking off the BOSS.

I've had the system activate a few times when approaching a car turning ahead of me - I knew they'd make their turn and be out of the way in time, but the truck thought differently. It beeped like crazy and there's a warning message on the dash, but brakes didn't actually apply. I think that's a last resort and the truck goes through a progression of events depending on how imminent it thinks an accident is.

The wife's Subie has all that stuff it works great. That's why I ordered the lux package in the Mav. Hooe it works as well in the Mav. And in a Subie you don't need to get the top trim to get it.

It has activated once for me.... the car ahead of me slammed on the brakes for a yellow to red light. It was pretty much at the same time I reacted, and there was a comfortable distance between us once stopped.

I’m referring to the collision avoidance automatic braking. It is standard on all trims. (not referring to adaptive cruise control of lariat luxury package)
