I drive a lot of short trips in my 5700 mile 24 Hybrid. I gone into limp mode twice in the past 45 days. Despite driving in Sport Mode to try to keep battery charged, I still get Power saving Mode and Deep sleep Mode messages from the Ford Pass app, suggesting I go for a drive.
When the vehicle is off, while I'm eating a sandwich, for lunch etc. After about 10 minutes I start hearing a bunch of relays clicking .. nothing is on, and often times the radio etc. Accessories shut off in a few minutes. Evidently this thing either has a bad battery, or it simply is not charging the battery as well as it should. OR it has way to many keep alive things running!
Does anyone else experience this ??

We've seen deep sleep messages a few times the last year, but yes the random clicking is normal. It helps to keep the fob away from the truck and lock the doors, but ours will still just start crazy noises hours after it's been parked in the garage.

After awhile the fuel pump can be released for keeping the system under pressure like evap system, several other things are released or disabled.
The clicks concerning truck doing one last updated to Ford's location system with data are much softer if that's what I think I heard one time.
Besides if enabled that system would really be keeping a connection up anyway to allow Fordpass remote start.

I don't think the keys are as much a factor as people claim, since they aren't responding to a radio signal the truck would send - rather they initiate a send when a button is pressed.
Truck just has to be ready to listen all the time.

ETA: Oh, not experienced the battery save issues, despite my 12V having a SOC around 60-65 only.

I have an open case for going into stall mode.
Case # CAS 50642140
I'm love my truck, but hate the problems with what appears to be suggests software and charging issues!
I drive mostly in Sport mode to use the motor more than electric attempting to key battery charged!

I've owned Ford products since the early 70's and never had any issues to speak of. This is not Fords first hybrid..I don't get all the issues??

Thanks

4/10/24 - started looking at used Mavericks as desired compact truck with better mileage than RAV4 (going to son almost 16), all higher $ than 24MY MSRP - no way. 4/15 - discovered mainly rural dealers in KC Metro had 1 or 2 models on web pages. 4/22 - After organizing a planned Sat visit to dealers with hybrid XLT and 1 local, took 1 last look at very local dealer down street - they had 1, just received on dealer trade, from rural dealer I was going to visit. 4/23 - bought XLT Hybrid, the desired $600 sprayed bed lost in shuffle, paid MSRP only, drove it home.

Clicking is normal and unfortunately so is sleep mode. At least it is for me. Annoying

FYI. If you double lock with fob or with key pad the accessories, radio, lights, dash shut off in a few seconds. However the dash, back seat and bed power points will stay on for up to 90 minutes or until 12v drops to 12.1 volts. Also if place the hybrid in ready to drive and leave it there while you are eating, etc the 12v will charge just like you are driving. If you have your truck drop out of ready after 30(?) minutes or so set your parking brake (I think that allows longer run time.

I do not get the deep sleep message but the power to my bed outlet does not come on unless the key is in the run position. This did work in the past. I did check the battery voltage and it is at 12.48V which is above the 12.1V limit. Any Idea how to get power to the bed without having the key in the run position.

You are whining about the battery running down, but you want power to the outlets with the key off.

I wasn't winning about the battery running down. I'm just trying to figure out what used to work does not work anymore. And my battery voltage is fine.

My 23 hybrid clicks all time. I do not camp, but I heard folks say when camping the clicking keeps them awake. Mine clicks when the keys are in the house and the truck is out by the shed.

Put in accessory position.

I have to tell you, the clicking noises startled me when I first got the truck, but yeah, it's normal for the hybrid.
